Cheapies.Com Introductory Special - Domains for 6.74/yr

Hi guys,

Just popping in to introduce myself .. I'm Chris, and I'm with Cheapies.Com, an ICANN accredited registrar.

As an advertiser here at GFY for the last month, we wanted to extend a special to the members here. For the next 72 hours, we've dropped our domain rates to 6.74 per year per name, with no minimums, ICANN fees included!

We offer free domain parking, free whois privacy, free DNS services, free URL forwarding (in frame and meta format), as well as free telephone and email support. All included for your 6.74!

Just use the code "GFYBOARD" on the signup page, and your rates will automatically be adjusted.

Come check us out and see the difference Cheapies.Com makes.

I've seen cheapies used for awhile now, by one or two sponsors if I'm not mistaken.. so that's why I wondered which of them were behind it. If you don't want to say, that's cool. Was just curious.

The sponsors may have registered domains with our company, but there's no affiliation.

The registrations you have seen may come direct or through one of our resellers, so it could be that you have started to see our name out there. I expect we'll be extremely popular with our aggressive pricing, and full service packages.

We sure do. We have a limited API available now, and we're constantly working to enhance it for maximum flexibility with our product portfolio.

How does your private registration compare with the solution GoDaddy offers?

While I don't know exactly what GoDaddy offers, our privacy solution masks both your contact information (including all postal address information), as well as your email address. On a private registration, all domains display "REGISTERED AT CHEAPIES.COM" as the registrant.

Oh...and it's free.

So it shows an address and phone number for Cheapies.com? Or just no address and phone number? I'm speaking of DomainbyProxy btw.

For example, it shows this when you do a whois on one:

Registrant:
Domains by Proxy, Inc.

DomainsByProxy.com
15111 N. Hayden Rd., Ste 160, PMB 353
Scottsdale, Arizona 85260
United States

Registered through: GoDaddy.com, Inc. (http://www.godaddy.com)
Domain Name: XDOMAIN.COM
Created on: 07-Sep-05
Expires on: 07-Sep-07

Yep, it does the same thing.

Here's an example with one of our domains:

I already began using your service a few months ago and looove it, however, I'd like to ask you a question Chris. Recently another popular registrar (I believe it was Directnic) closed down some domains with some explanation about them being 'porn related' or some bs like that - what I'm wondering is how/why they can do that?

Do we have to worry about that happening to us at Cheapies?

Thanks for the praises.

Your concern is a valid one. While we do not know to what extent the domains may have or may not have been "revoked", we have heard of this sort of thing happening in the past, and expect it to happen again in the future.

Given the current political climate, and the current governmental stance on the adult and gaming industries in the United States, we feel that anyone with close ties to either industry should very seriously re-examine their exposure.

While indeed all registrars are forced to comply with local laws, it just so happens that we're in a jurisdiction that is much more friendly toward these industries, so something like that is much less likely to happen at Cheapies.

You're 1 cent cheaper than Fabulous.com, but I have yet to find a registrar that offers services as impressive as theirs...

For our resellers, or large volume registrants, sure.

If you have any specific needs or requests, please feel free to email me at chris at cheapies dot com.

Brujah quit assuming things toots. I've used many registrars over the years with DNS being one that I happened to like.
GoDaddy is on my 'worst' list as I don't like dodging through gauntlets of advertising just to edit my domains
Moniker is just too friggin expensive for the so-so service i get back

I test alot of registrars - now I've found a new one (cheapies) that i like as well

We know what you're doing vicki.. or is it Gord? Pimproll knows the real deal too. What do you think they're going to think after reading this, and all the lies and denials? Probably that their registrar of choices the past several years might be up to something shady.

lol step away from the crackpipe dear you're beginning to hallucinate. and who or what pimproll is matters not to me as I don't know him/her/it.

I do not and never have had an affiliation with domainnamesystems except for a 3 day stint of helping run a booth for them back in 98

As for Gord the only affiliation I have with him is a longstanding friendship

did that keep me from using others services? hell no .. biz is biz

Vicki how can you have been in adult for 10+ years and have never heard of Pimproll? Not that it matters, I'm only saying I think even THEY know that Cheapies and DomainNameSystems are probably related. You're a Jeske fan, everyone knows that. The attempts to seemingly avoid making the connection are what makes it so concerning.

Prior to you showing up endorsing them, I was considering using them myself.
