Directnic really should allow you access to your account and allow you to take your domains and your business elsewhere.

Shutting you down after all that has been said by them on this issue is....excessive. There is a difference between questionable content and blatant CP. Questionable needs to be handled fairly and equitably, not with a heavy hand until the case is proven.

I agree with most of that. I don't think they should have locked and pulled his domain until he's actually proven guilty, charged with something, or ordered to do so.

I think they should have reported it to the domain owner, the host, and appropriate authorities to deal with. Let them order the registrar to shut it down after investigation by those who are probably better trained and experienced to deal with it.

If you see the sponsors listed on my page, you'd see that they are ALL legit sponsors. IF the girls are all 18, it's legal, case closed. It shouldn't be "well, they LOOK younger than 18, it's illegal, shut it down".

Have to agree darksoul - it does not take a doctorate to see certain content is in an area which would interest Federal law enforcement - which was kinda disappointing to see and showed yet another lack of judgement. Webmaster need to take fully responsibility for their website content - not quibble over it.

As far as DN is concerned - don't agree with their interference one bit. They deserve everything which may be flowing their way - and to loose a % of their client base. If they had a complaint - it is not their job to investigate. The complaint should have been passed direct to law enforcement.

Slick, the sad fact is that laws like 2257 are not innocent until proven guilty, but suspect until proven clean. The presumption of innocence isn't always a given, most people don't understand that.

If I was you, I would get to another registrar, register some domains, and get back to business while your lawyer gets to doing what lawyers do.

i would tend to agree... i would guess that there is clearly more going on that people realize. I doubt DN woke up a couple days ago and decided their new mission was to make history, scare the shit out of people and become the first private internet morality police. taking these steps is pretty serious. people should really wait for full details before making snap judgements.

The "let the Feds deal with it" is an interesting issue for sure. Thats not a simple thing. that means letting someone promote, sell, distribute CP for months or years while its being "dealt with" ... IF it ever gets investigated. I can see strong arguments that might not be a great way to go about it either. I'm sure you remember Lee Noga way back when... and her tirades against sextracker about the very issue of leaving CP sites up for months and months and months while they are "investigated".

I admire you for deciding to reevaluate. CP or even insinuated cp is very serioius biz. People talk very highly of you and respect you. But I've just lately had several tgp guys tell me straight up, that the younger looking, underdeveloped type girls that look 13 DO draw more clicks. It's disturbing. Whether it's legal or not, it might be time to figure out how far one will go for that extra couple sales or those extra coupld hundred or thousand clicks.
