There is lots of crazy stuff going on at the moment with the weather.

Check out the HUGE icebergs that have been floating up the coastline of New Zealand in the last few months.
You can see a choppa landing in the bottom left corner.

well, out here in alberta we have the most snow we've had in years (in my area at least) it shit on us about a month/month and half earlier than usual, and has easily given us a thicker white covering than there has been in years. that however doesn't mean that our planet's climate is fucked up. can you believe that for a while they were trying to tell us that the hole in the ozone layer was somehow healing itself? bullshit!

Yeah I saw it and I must say it presents a very scary picture of whats to come. Nay sayers can dismiss global warming all they want, but when you look at the cold hard facts the world simply cannot sustain the lifestyle we are used too.

fuck that, global warming rocks.

plus i heard a guy on tv say some interesting stuff about global warming that it's definately not a huge problem like the media and politics make you believe. The sealevel is even rising slower then the centuries before 1900.
He basically said global warming is bullshit the way 'we' see it, he says it's the way nature works and that the sun is the real factor. So people are wasting their time blaming themselfs and the industry, and if these people used their time to help cure aids instead of wasting it on the global warming myth we would be alot further with that.

I think he got some pretty good points at least.

Oh, but I agree, it hasn't snowed here really for more than a few hours in almost three years. Normally we have FEET of snow by now, but it's above 0 and raining at the moment. I'm sick of rain and mud!

It's in the 50s here in Western NY. I saw kids in the mall last night with shorts and t-shirts on. I'm going to Florida for Christmas and at this rate it might actually be warmer up here.

Im from MTL too, and I think this is the 1st time ever we will have a Green Christmas up here!

If up here in Canada we are getting this kind of shitty winter weather, WTF do you think Christmas will be for our kids in the future?

I guess our gouvernments have a old minded way of fixing things "If it's not broken, dont fix it"

I seriously dont want to be around anymore when the shit hits the fan!

Anybody see Dennis Miller on The Tonight Show a few days ago? I thought it was interesting when he showed the Newsweek article from the 70's that was talking about global cooling found by the scientists and they recommended melting the polar ice caps... Proof of global warming or proof that its a normal cycle? hmm... http://newsbusters.org/node/9473

It is funny how people on here make being an environmentalist a bad thing. Global warming is probably real since it is kind of obvious when you look at the evidence (some glaciers completely melting in 30 years).

It is disturbing though when people bash others who care about the environment. I mean, what does it matter to you if an oil company has to follow strict standards regarding emissions? These anti-environment people make nothing from the fossil fuel industry, yet they for some reason bash people who care about the environment.
