I love stats remote, and have been using it for years now.
One feature I would love to see (if you're asking) would be the ability to have multiple windows open for different groups of programs. You could have the main one open with all the programs, then create custom windows that allow you to display any number of existing programs with their own set of aggregated information.
There are several reasons that this would be useful. For one, I have about 60 programs on mine, and only about 40 receive traffic anymore. Would be nice to separate out the dead programs without having to delete the historical data. Another reason is to get separate information based on different niches and/or PPC campaigns. I normally use different sponsors for different niche-based campaigns, and it would be helpful to see the data for these in their own window.
So basically you could create a new window and specify from a drop down menu which programs would display.

And since I'm asking for new features

Would it be possible to display individual Google AdWords campaigns? I'm sure that's a pain in the ass because they're always changing around their system, but I have a feeling this would be a useful feature for many.

Anyway, stats remote rocks, and anyone with more than five sponsors should sign up!

If you got the 'No MSJVM Found' error please check the following page, download and install the JVM and it should work.

Graphs have been one of the features for a long time... right click on the account or on the total rows in StatsRemote and select 'Show Graph'. Since last week you can also display graphs for individual CCBill accounts that are merged under a main account... right click on CCBill and select 'Show Breakdown', then right click on an account and select 'Show Graph'.

Categorizing is one the the features on our to-do list for 2007

If you want to hide your inactive accounts, that's already possible. Just right click on all inactive accounts in StatsRemote and uncheck 'Included'. Then check 'View -> Included Programs Only' and all these accounts will be hidden. If you then want to check the stats history of all your accounts you just uncheck 'View -> Included Programs Only' and all your accounts are displayed again.

We usually try to produce as little load on the stats servers as possible. The more specific info we read the bigger the load usually gets. Quite a few companies already blocked the IP's of our users in the past, so we always need to be careful with reading more specific stats.

I started using this a few days ago... setup wasn't the easiest thing (retrieving the passwords to all the programs) and a couple are still not working (but are on the known issue list) and everything else that was an issue got worked out quickly (the error reporting mechanism seems to work well).

Not a bad deal at all... something I would likely keep when the free time is up (although I have high hopes to win some more time ;) )

For some reason Lightspeed, ccbill and weconvert always get me red lights. CCBill and WeConvert work fairly well and still grab stats 1/4 of the time, but lightspeed hasn't worked at all. The username and password are correct. hmm

I set it up and tried it out, but was getting different statistics for all time & this year, on newer programs i had signed up to w/in the last six months.

Does it support linked CCBill master accounts? I have several processing accounts that are all linked... So I have a main login where i have to choose which account I want to look at. I didnt wait around to find out as it was taking too long to load all the data.

Since you just started using StatsRemote, the software first needs to read all the historical stats. Quite a few companies limit the number of requests the software can make in a row or the stats are quite slow and sometimes there are time-out error. In these cases you will get a red status several times in the beginning. Once all the historical stats are read, you shouldn't get any red status anymore.

Lightspeed Cash changed their stats... it will work again with the next StatsRemote update.

I guess you're looking at the column on the very right ($$$/month... $$$/year... $$$/???... etc.). This column displays the forecast of your earnings. The actual earnings are displayed in the $$$ column.

Could you please add an account to StatsRemote and select 'CC Bill Merchant' as program type. I'm not sure if you need to enter you master ID or the ID's of the linked accounts. Maybe you could try both.

Looks like 'all time' isnt pulling all the data, its set to 10/1/2006 -> Current day.. not sure why that happened. Good product though

You can set an 'Account active since' date for each account in StatsRemote... right click on the account in StatsRemote -> Select 'Properties' -> change 'Account active since' -> Click 'OK'

We are in the process of evaluating this and it *might* happen in 2007.

If you used StatsRemote before with a different username/password combination and the software is still installed on your computer, you need to do the following: Start StatsRemote, click on 'Change...' in the login box, enter your old username and password and then your new username and password.

J B, actually, my only real issue is that the trigger to collect stats is "hard", which means there is a sudden flurry of activity as all of the stats try to update at the same time. It might be a good thing to have a "soft" mode that makes no more than 10% of the programs connect at any one time.

Just because a program is blinking doesn't mean that the software is actually checking the stats at that moment. All programs that are scheduled to be checked blink. StatsRemote uses 24 simultaneous connections. Once one program is finished, the next one is started.

It's possible to reduce the number of simultaneous connections. Please let me know if you're interested in this. I will then email you the details.

J B: I am just thinking that this would be a good thing to have in a setup option so people with very fast connections can turn things up, and those with a slower connection (say on dialup, on the road, whatever) can turn it down to something more in keeping with their connection speed. Options are good

This is possible, but not directly in the software as of now. You need to add something to the ini file.

We did a lot of testing here on different machines with different internet connections. Even if you have a very fast computer and a very fast internet connection, having more than 24 simultaneous connections doesn't make much sense. There are a lot of factors that influence this.

For dial-up connections it sometimes makes sense to reduce the number of simultaneous connections. That's why we added this option. It will be directly in the software sometime next year when we release a major update.

Great... I guess the only other thing that takes a little getting use to is the difference between "actual" and "forecast" for the day. It might make it easier to read if the forecast columns were shaded differently or there was some soft of seperation between the parts so that is clearer what is real and what the potential is. It certainly made me take a double take when I first started out.

There is also some minor issues on display of the uniques and raws columns in the month and yearly views, as the number overflows the available space. Maximizing the window doesn't shift the column sizes.

I think it won't take long to get used to this but this is definitely something we keep in mind for the future.

This happens if you for example start StatsRemote with the today tab active and then switch to the this month, this year, etc. tab. You can then just select 'Window -> Size to Fit' or press 'CTRL-F' and the columns are adjusted.

I agree with RawAlex on this. Even making the font italicized on the forecast part would be great.

Otherwise, I am very much enjoying testing the product out.

Would be nice to see the details of the sales (site, referring url etc). Perhaps it's not feasable though?

I have a question regarding the time frames. Because nearly everything I promote pays biweekly, the 'this week' and 'last week' features aren't as helpful to me as a 'this period' and 'last period' would be.

Is there a way that I can customize those fields that I'm not seeing?

I'm lovin' the program, btw.

Same answer as to a quesion above: We usually try to produce as little load on the stats servers as possible. The more specific info we read the bigger the load usually gets. Quite a few companies already blocked the IP's of our users in the past, so we always need to be careful with reading more specific stats.

You can use the custom tab for this. If it's not displayed please check 'View -> Tabs -> Custom'. Then select 'Tools -> Select Custom Period...' and enter the from and to of the period you want to have displayed.
