It seems like there has been many new affiliate programs coming out each week. Many have the same type of sites, programs, content, etc.

What would you like to see that would really grab your interested in sending traffic with the next affiliate program? Serious question, please post serious answers...

I have noticed some have started offering HD content for instance...

I developed my own PPV site called www.easyppv.com it has tons of my content and I sell it per clip for 4.95

now its been out a year here is what i found

its way easier to get people to join a membership site simply because they are used to that format

my prediction is as time goes on and they get used to the ppv model it will convert way better (not just my site but in general)

I have to agree.. PPV/VOD sites can for some people be a harder sell to the consumer, mostly due to the fact that for most consumers this is a new way for them.

That said once a user get started they will keep coming back. That said for the most part VOD sites will sell as well if not better then your ave. Paysite. Most PPV/VOD sites only offer rev share and I for one think this stops most webmasters from promoting VOD to their surfers as it can take weeks for a member to use up their minutes. For this reasion we offer PPS for webmasters that wish to do a test with their traffic and be paid per signup and not miss out on cash they could have made by sending to a membership site.

thats a very smart offer to get guys to push it

sometimes i sit and think there are guys buying say in one month 20 movies from me costing about 100 bucks when they could of for 29.95 had all in form of membership

but more and more surfers would rather be in control of what they buy what they watch and how much they get billed

ppv hast even started yet its like at ground zero compared to what it can do

We all became use to the recurring model and relied heavily on the recurring member, but what we failed to recognize was the consumer trends that would happen without a recurring model.

Having been working on the VOD side of things for the last while, I have learned a new side of the industry and consumer patterns. I've always had a large interest in consumer behavior and viewing the patterns and trends of porn watcher's through VOD is incredibly interesting. What you think might be a dumb business model because we eliminate rebills is actually the opposite of what is happening.

Consumers must believe they are getting a better deal because I have seen surfers rebill and spend more money in one week than they would have in 6 months through a paysite.

Using creative marketing and having a strong sales force will make VOD the next big thing.

HD, I don't think will ever take off too much ...

The next big thing will be something like Dollars.com - but maybe easier for people to understand.

How about a traffic management service that optimizes your traffic for you...amongst all registered affiliate programs...and displays the best revenue producing ads for each spot on your page automatically. You get to concentrate on acquiring traffic, while this program takes care of optimization. Since it would integrate all major programs, I'm sure it could even generate traffic for you as well.

Unfortunately the Dollars.com system was about 10 years ahead of its time. All it needs is a few big companies to back up a concept like this and it will take off.

some good ideas here. looking to learn more. our affiliate program covers a specific niche so while it's membership, it is still unique.

We're thinking of adding VOD content to our sites to see how that goes.

Dollars.com was way ahead of it's time and this is still a killer model. I'd love to promote something like it.

Agreed. Except with the part about it having to be exclusive.

All the tools, HD and fancy offers to webmasters will never disguise bad porn. Put bad porn on HD and it's still bad porn. Plus anyone can produce bad porn.

Todays affiliate is looking at his bank statement, no need to look for the next tool for him. Work on converting more of his existing traffic rather than getting more affiliates, convert better and they will find you and more important stick to you.

Also agree with the PPV, so many surfers just want porn now for 20 minutes and do not want to spend $30. I think most of them make do with the free stuff at the moment.

As for previous comments about how "HD won't work".

People see the the huge difference in quality between a HDV wmv 1280x720 at ~4Mbps and a 600x400 at ~1500Kbps movies.

problem with ppv in my opinion is that it takes one big site like deluxepass to throw ppl into their corner and no longer do ppv movies.
