Is it true that in Vietnam everyone officially turns 1 day old on the same day regardless of when they were actually born, and if coincidence comes into play and birth is done at the right time someone could be only days old and be officially 2 years old?

But I can tell you about their calendar system.

The Vietnamese lunar calendar begins with the year 2637 B.C. It has 12 months of 29 or 30 days each, and the year totals 355 days.

At approximately every third year, an extra month is included between the third and fourth months. This is to reconcile the lunar calendar with the solar one.

The Vietnamese like the lunar calendar because they can be sure of a full moon on the 15th day of each month. in their everyday life, however, they use the Gregorian calendar.

Unlike our centuries of 100 years, the Vietnamese calendar is divided into 60-year periods called "Hoi."

Shooting porn in Thailand is very illegal as you know. It is not necessary that you muct "know" someone or have "protection," however it does come in handy if you get caught red handed. And just to put into perspective, I know several guys who have not been caught once, yet I have been caught twice. So take that for what it's worth.

Several guys shoot there, on the fly, with nothing but luck and get away with it. There are also guys with protection from high ranking government officials, and some with just local police.

It's totally do-able to shoot there. However, if you do get caught, you very well could end up going to prison for a few years. If you think the reward is worth the risk, go for it. But know that even though Thailand is the land of pussy and fun, it would be your worst nightmare if you do get into trouble.

The biggest misconception of shooting in Thailand is that it is easy. A million hookers are there so it's cake to do. Just the opposite. Even though they may blow darts out of their pussy on stage, off stage they are SHY. Thai people are very shy at heart and it is very, very difficult to get a girl to shoot in the nude, let along a hardcore scene. Knowing the language and understanding Thai culture helps big-time.

Then there is the fact that Thai people are very nosey, so it can be difficult so shoot in a room unless it's ghetto style with no lights and shitty gear. If your flashers are seen out through the windows or from under the door or keyhole, it could mean your ass. Or not.

To sum it up... If I was fresh to shooting, I would NOT go to Thailand to shoot. I would not go to any 3rd world country to shoot until I had a good handle on model management and how to deal with situations. You need to get it down in your own country and language before you move into others.

I don't follow Muay Thai so I don't know if that school is good or not. I do see ads for a lot of schools though. I also know that Lumpini Stadium is where they have real fights 2 or 3 times a week, something you will want to check out.

No. Not even close. I mean, you can live in a very small room, with no AC and just a fan for maybe that, but its going to be small and probably not the most secure. And I am just talking rent.

Depending on where you want to stay, lets say Bangkok, if you can live in a small room, budget at least $300 - 400. Then you have food which is cheap if you can eat like a Thai. If you like to drink or chase pussy, this is where you will get killed.

Just as a reference, and I do not stay in Bangkok, but my rent is about $600 USD, and power is about another $50 on top of that. Now, its HUGE with an ocean view, but it is not in Bangkok and is away from the tourist traps. I have a friend that pays $150 a month in the same city for a cube, no air, 5th floor, all stairs, no security. There is also a GFY poster who was a $1700 Penthouse in Bangkok. So, you can live how you want, but $200 for EVERYTING is not going to happen.

I would say you could get by on $1000 a month and still have a good time.

There is internet in Thailand, wireless, you can even get a card that you can put in your laptop and use the phone signal to have it all over Thailand. Sit on the beach and work if you want. BUT IT'S SLOW!!! IT'S ALL SLOW!!!!

If you are just checking e-mail and working on code, no problem. If you are loading large amounts of videos, you can, but it takes a bit. If I need large uploads there I do it while I sleep.

Best of luck, you will have the time of your life over there.

You may want to visit a few times before you even think about working there and should get a feel for how it all works, the people and the culture.

And this is not a joke, but I do suggest you take a visit to the Bangkok Hilton (Bangkwan prison) just to see where you may be going if you are caught and can't get out of it. It is hell on earth, and though you would not really go THERE, it does give you an idea of how rough it could get. I make all my male performers who travel with me go and see this place when I first hire them just so they know what they are getting into. That way if they end up there, they can't point any fingers at me.

If you want to actually visit a prisoner, which seems to be the hip thing to do these days, you have to go to the embassy and request permission to see them. And getting off topic, there are some incredible books about people who have been locked up here, well worth a read.

Questions answered about Thailand on GFY, who would've thought. :D I just came back from my vacation in Thailand and absolutely loved the place. So much so that I'm now considering moving there. I would never shoot there, because Thai prisons are scary as hell, but luckily my partner will take over my company in Budapest for a while, so I'll be free again.

I heard some bad stories about running porn companies from Thailand, but didn't get around to researching the subject properly yet. Is it true that it's risky to run a porn site or content store from there? As long as it's strictly over the net and there are no shoots, bank accounts, marketing in the country itself it should be safe, right?

Thailand has been cracking down on people who run websites from Thailand, and porn coming INTO Thailand but I had it read to me once from Thai law that they can not prosecute you if the site is NOT in Thailand. Or something like that. It's not something I worry about so I didn't pay much attention to it when they were telling me about it.

If you surf and upload with a proxy or a VPN (strongvpn.com) you will be a-ok. Lots of guys run sites from there with NO problems.

It's best to travel to that part of the world expecting to break the law. I don't have a full list, but I will tell you what I know for sure...

I know of guys who have been busted in the following countries: Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Philippines and Singapore.

Most of them were able to bribe their way out of it, but they did get caught and was taken for a hellish ride. A few spent a few days, a week and another 6 months locked up. The rest spent a lot of cash to wak away.

Japanese porn is so expensive because it is very expensive to shoot it. The girls there can make $3000 - $8000 USD for shooting *gasp*, plus you have to factor in the guys, the location, and the cost of someone to shoot it. It is really fucking expensive to shoot in Japan.

It's always best NOT to shoot where you are sleeping. I made that mistake in Colombia and ended up spending 3 days in the can over it. If you want to shoot in a 5 start hotel, then get another 5 start hotel to sleep in.

You also have to think, that while many hotels don't care of you have company, if you are bringing in gutter girls (and Thai's can even tell by the way they walk), you will get noticed. If it is anything more than what you would usually have for a mongering trip, they may catch on to you.

If you ask me, and you are shooting in hotels, I would change shootings hotels every couple of days to be safe. And if ANY of them know where you are sleeping, I would change that hotel as well.

I have only heard BAD things about India. I would not dare shoot there.

If you can work out the land details so it's legal, I don't see why not. However, that place has EXPLODED and is not the same chilled out place it was 10 years ago.

Samui is a super hot spot now. I was also there 10 years ago and it's not even close to the same place it is today. I liked it better back then.

With that said, I don't know if you like chill or crazy. I don't think I could live there but if I wanted to buy something in Thailand, I would go to a more desolate place / island.
