What kind of server should I get and where?
I need an unmanaged dedicated server solely for hosting pictures and maybe some galleries/freesites. What kind of hardware specs should I look for and with who? I only need ~2mbps transfer right now, but will need 5-10 in a month or two.
Suggestions? |

Not a whole lot of power is needed for that application. Maybe in the 2GHz-2.6GHz range should be fine, as long as there's sufficient RAM (1GB).
So, say: 2.4GHz/1GB RAM/160GB HDD

A fairly "basic" dedicated server should be fine. Our base package is a P4 2.8ghz, 80gb hard drive, and 512mb of ram.
