Mbna bank in uk?
Does the MBNA bank have a uk site - mbna.co.uk? I keep getting spam, or what I thought was spam (phishing spam), but the links link direct to mbna. And they have my correct name. So i am wondering if i signed up for one of their credit cards or something.

I am pretty sure someones nicked my idenity (sp?)
Or its a fake bank. but they have a wikipedia entry (although it doesn't mention the .co.uk version) The emails all seem legit, and have at the bottom something saying "for confirmation purposes, this is your post code" and puts a post code - but it isn't mine. Argh. ffs. going to call them up later. |

But the email links to mbna.co.uk, deff no phishing assuming that mbna.co.uk is legit, which it looks like it is.
i've been having these emails for months and months. i probably wasn't even 18 when "i" first signed up for mbna (ie when someone else did. if they did) |

Why would someone sign up with your own email address if they were pretending to be you?
I would just ignore the mails.

Dude, just delete them. You will notice they go in batches where one month you get flooded with MBNA phishing mails, the next its Barclays and so on. Its just to try and sweep up all those who might have accounts and could potentially get suckered. Do a mouseover on the URL in the email and see that it isnt them.
For the record, if you have a credit card from MBNA in the UK you are dealing with MBNA Bank. |
