ePassporte security

With all the theft threads lately, and ePassporte being unwilling to refund any stolen funds, I must say I'm more than a little disturbed.

I've seen other people make security suggestions, but haven't seen anyone post the most simple:

Allow us to limit account access to individual IPs. A stolen password would be useless unless they were also sitting in front of my personal computer.

If the IP changes, have a support system in place we can use to update the IP, a security question or such.

How about creating a password that isn't easy to hack? Seems like a solution to me...

I would have to agree with Wizzo on that one

anyone who creates a password for THEIR ONLINE MONEY and doesn't go crazy on the keyboard when doing it, is just nuts

here is a hint, when you want to create a new epassporte password, open up notepad, go crazy on the keyboard, like this C4gby*xddA1, copy that text and paste it into the password field

Well this should make you feel better.

Instead of Chris Mallick spending money on upgrading ePasporte's security system, he's spending 50 million on making some movies. I guess we know where his priorities are

http://www.variety.com/article/VR111...goryid=13&cs=1

If ePassporte's security system was as safe as they would like you to believe, they would have no problem standing behind it and refunding anyones money that gets stolen IMO. If you want people to believe in your product, you have to believe in it yourself. Not standing behind your security system is not the way to stand behind your product. I say.... "put your money where your mouth is".

Man my password in epassporte is like your example. I use the password only in epassporte and was robbed two days ago like others wms. So i think this is a security problem of the company.

polish: It could be optional

jace: See zacboy's post, he had a pass such as 'asdw23e2' used only at epass and was hacked.

dean: I agree 100%

An optional RSA SecurID tag would be another suggestion.
