It's company policy to do not comment on stuff that could cause big payment system to close down? DO you even understand what epassporte is? It is financial services where the image, reputation and client trust are the most important factors. I think a closing down of epassporte with all it's clients loosing money would be the biggest scandal and drama in history of gfy

Chase bank accounts can't load money into Epass anymore, they said "because they are gambling related" but at the same time I can use my Chase credit card to load an account.

Bank of America has no problem loading yet either. *fingerz crossed*

anyone have a list of banks that banned Epass?

thats prob because your CC is a visa/mc and they have yet to block transactions to epass.

its easier for a bank to block wires to them then for visa mc

Umm yea like netteller was a US company. Did you miss that they were arrested?

Epass is being very irresponsible with a lot of people money. They will end up going down if they continue to take money from American customers for gambling.

I don't like the law and I think it's BS, but the writing is on the wall, if Epass can't see it they will end up going down.

to put the "us laws don't apply to foreign entities" train of thought into perspective:

Any country can go to any other country and appeal for a warrant to arrest one of their citizens. The country can deny...

But do you really think your country is going to defend you against a request that the US might make?

In summary - it doesn't matter where you live. If you do business in the US, you can and might be held accountable to US laws. If any of your income is generated from or paid out from the US, you are doing business in the US. Feel free to cover your ears and "La-la-la-la" your way right into federal prison, though.

Interesting as to how we haven't had a comment anywhere from Epass including their site to say. "Everything is up and up, we are doing business and improving these issues." Lack of releases is daunting.

Like usually most of you guys talk about shit you have know idea about! You all talk like you know what you are talking about. Just to fill you in. It is illegal for any company to take money from a US citizen for the purpose of gaming. No matter where in the world your company in located! The banking system is controlled by the US. So they make the rules. Like it or leave it. It is the golden rule. He who has the gold makes the rules. It is only a matter of time before the US government catches up with Epassporte and all of their top guys for taking on gaming! They should have stayed in the adult game and offered better services to their clients! END OF STORY!!!!!!

I dont know if this has anything to do with the gambling issue but I just got this from WebCamCash

Managers

We would like to advise that epassporte seems to be having some serious problems
with their payment system. For those of you that use epassporte as a method of
payment, we are completely unable to make any guarantees that payments for Feb
16-28 will be effective by that method.

We simply have no control over their system and have been unable to receive any
information as to when the problems will be fixed.

We are providing all studios with an opportunity to provide us with alternative
methods of payments. If you would like to provide cheque or wire transfer
information in order to guarantee your payment will reach you in a timely
manner, it is important that you do so before the end of the day on February 28.

We would ask that you submit any such changes using the Edit Profile function on
or before February 28, 2007. If you submit such changes and they have not been
approved, please contact me by ICQ to confirm.

If not, it will be necessary to wait and see what happens with epassporte.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Karen

An ePass rep gave me the following response:

About gambling.

There is nothing in our business model there is against any US law.
We have not and will not ever break any US law.

Complete trash - It is illegal for any US financial organisation.

If they are willing to face sanction by the US any non-US company can do what they please within the laws in its own country.
