Tyler Hansbrough scored 26 points before suffering an ugly injury in the closing seconds of No. 8 North Carolina's 86-72 victory over 14th-ranked Duke on Sunday, clinching the top seed in the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament.

Nose isn't broken.

Hansbrough leaped for a layup with 14.5 seconds left, and after the ball left his hand, he was struck in the face by Gerald Henderson's right elbow.

Williams said team doctors told him the center's nose was not broken, and though Hansbrough didn't speak to reporters after the game, point guard Bobby Frasor said Hansbrough calmed down and laughed about his near-confrontation.
