phone wise I only use a home phone
it is cheaper than a cell or both and when I am out I do not need to have a phone bothering me anyways I like my freedom.

We only have one incase our cell phones go out for some reason. No one ever calls us on it except the wife's parents.

I have one at home and I only use it when I need to phone my grandparents because they never use mobiles, they say that is to complicated for them..... it really could be since they are in their 80's I guess!!!
