I remember my first Mac, the 840 AV, was a fucking kick ass computer, expensive as hell, but damn it was bad ass.

Pretty fucked up that John Sculley basically pushed him out shortly after this. I've been reading alot of Seth Godin's IDEA VIRUS and MESSAGE SPREADING techniques and you can't get any better than Jobs' 1984 speech.

Scully did not push Jobs out. The Apple board recruited Scully from Pepsi Cola. They made a mistake but as history sometimes corrects things forcing Jobs out is responsible for him starting NEXT computers which provided the core for OSX and for his success at Pixar.

Credit to Jobs for being smart and an excellent marketer too.
