Why aren't webmaster boards taking a stance?

I see AFF and Sexsearch among other ads on various webmaster boards. Programs that support Zango and other scumware. I thought webmaster boards are here to help and support webmasters but they are advertising programs that steal from webmasters. How can webmasters take a stance against this when the boards that webmasters go to are supporting programs that steal from webmasters? I just don't get it.

Think of the much of the adult biz as being like a pack of starving rats that will do anything to get a mouthfull of food - including eating their fellow rats when they get the chance.

I beginning to think your right. The point I am making is webmasters can complain about this sponsor and that sponsor supporting scumware and providing evidence that they are stealing from webmasters but if the boards we visit and post still support these programs defeats the purpose because a community that's supposed to support webmasters is still supporting these programs which I think undermines the efforts webmasters are making to stop this type of activity.

Some boards take their stance. You're just on the wrong boards apparently.

Apparently so. But I see a lot of major adult webmaster boards still advertising these programs.

Why take a stance when they can profit from it?

Its more "we" than "they're", since most board owners are just regular guys in our industry.

Thanks for the correction and showing us that you support this type of activity which I see in your sig which is Redneck Getaway and when I click on the banner I see Sexsearch who is one of the sponsors sponsoring the event.

I was just simply pointing out that you say "they" like you aren't a part of this industry... but it did inspire me to create this thread... http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showthread.php?t=727393

To most boards, ad revenue is ad revenue.

It's up to the webmasters themselves to take the stand.

Try not clicking those advertiser's banners, that might be the way to start.

yeh why on earth should a privatised webmaster board take a stance. you dont need the sheperd to show you the way surely? just dont promote the companies yourself.

One thing is for sure in our industry: As long as it makes money and it isn't illegal, noone gives a shit about the rest of the "community".

Sexsearch.com has yet to even once address their position of the zango issue, publicly or privately. They continue to steal affiliate sales via zango while hiding like rats on the subject. Anyone sending these crooks traffic ought to think twice.
