How many breakups/divorces do you think MySpace has Caused...

I hear a lot of stories about that shit...Isn't crazy that Tom is responsible for so many breakups and divorces.

Oh well, more money for the attorneys.

I don't blame MySpace, I blame society & people who try to make it seem like you need to get married.

If you need a piece of paper to make your relationship more meaningful, then your relationship is already lacking.

This is true to an extent, but you have to take into the consideration the sacred tradition of getting married. There are not only pressures from religion but also society. Call me old fashioned but i totally believe and support the idea of being married .

Call me cynical, but the "idea" and the reality of marriage are not the same.

It depends on who you are. To me it is pretty simple, you get married and you keep your dick in your pants. It is no different then any other commitment in your life. The problem is not with marriage, it's with the dumb asses who think they are in love but aren't man enough to make sacrifices, like keeping their dick in their pants, that give marriage a bad name. If people these days would take responsibility for their actions and stop blaming everyone else for their problems and taking the easy way out the world would be a much better place. The first sign of trouble and the throw in the towel. No one knows what hard work is anymore and a marriage takes work.

Most of those probably weren't great relationships before Myspace came into the equation.

I think the problem is that you're asking a man to do something that he was not designed to do. Of all my friends who got married, the only ones that are still married are the ones with open relationships

I don't think it's manly to make sacrifices, I think it's manly to do what you want and not have to make any sacrifices. You only live once, why not live it doing what you want, who you want, when you want.

Make divorce illegal, then lets see how many people get married.

I hardly agree that making sacrifices is anything but manly. You mean to tell me that all the vets that went to WWII and made a sacrifice for their country weren't manly? You think that the guy that is working two jobs each 40 hours a week to feed his family is not manly. The guy that isn't a man is the guy that sits on his fat ass collecting his welfare check and not taking responsibility for his actions. A real man stands up for what he believes in whatever the cost. You find someone that just whatever he wants all day and he is either a celebrity or a bum end of story. Life is about struggle and doing things that you don't want to. It's the small things in life like marriage and children that make it worth it. And know that you worked hard and earned what you have and stood up for what you believed in. That is way more gratifying then sticking it in some slut for a worthless fuck one night when you are drunk. And to say it is out of character for a man to be committed to a relationship, look at all the happily married couples in the world right now. The divorce rate is totally messed up because of all the people that should never get married but do 3 or 4 times and divorce each time. There are way more happily married couples then there are divorced.

I am sorry to hear that life has been a struggle for you. I am also sorry you have to be drunk to fuck sluts and then consider it to have been worthless. I do think that it's ironic how you compare marriage to going to war and having to work two jobs though. Seems to be a pattern in there somewhere.

That's not cynical ... it's short sightedness ... because not everyone has the view and you need to remember that ....

You can't go around telling people they got married based on a flakey relationship ... which is essentially what you're saying!

this is why you keep your myspace profile private and rigorously screen anyone that you allow as a friend...

I've gotten in a fight with 3 different girls I was dating because of comments left on my page. Some chicks are crazy. They think just cause someone leaves a comment that means I'm banging them.

Never used or even looked into Myspace, chatrooms, dating sites, or anything of the sort except for business reasons. Been happilly married for 3 years and it's not that I'm afraid of temptation, I have the most amazing wife and a beautiful newborn son who are both the reasons I wake up with a smile and motivation every day.

Even if I were single or looking, i'm just generally a very private person and I just dont have time to BS, audition myself, have a cool profile, have alot of web 'friends' and have links to the 'in' and popular cyber-crowd. Maybe I'm past the targetted market demographics for sites like that..

i do have not any idea bout that..the only thing that i can say is: marriage makes the two person bind us one...it is a gift form God that couples should protect and respect..having a family was the most responsibility..no one shall break them apart..having a good marriage life is the same as having a meaningful life..

myspace hasn't cause relationships to fail, it's the two people in the relationship that has caused it to fail.

Leave it to Tom, I want to see how his marriage is going to work out.
I bet he is so lonely even though he has 175228150 friends.

oh my god you are all a bunch of retards, anyone who seriously thinks that myspace ruined a relationship is a prick and obviously doesnt realise that the relationship prob wasnt worth shit to begin with.
for starters ya BF/GF should trudt ypu enough to not worry about what you may or may not be doing on myspace.
secondly it is my opinion that most of the things ppl say on myspace should be t5aken with a pinch of salt

I don't think it's manly to make sacrifices, I think it's manly to do what you want and not have to make any sacrifices. You only live once, why not live it doing what you want, who you want, when you want.

Make divorce illegal, then lets see how many people get married.

And?

BTW if YOU'RE going to try to insult someone, you should 1) Learn to spell and 2) make sure they care what you think.

You're 0 for 2.

The site has become digital crack for far to many people. A 12 stroke program is in order.
