Question for Photoshop users...

I installed photoshop 7 on a new computer and now when I drag a picture from a website into it, it prompts the "New" dialog box instead of just opening the picture. It works if I drag to the desktop first though.

Any ideas on how to just have it open the picture?

just hit the enter key, the new dialog box should have the correct dimensions and resolution of the pic. It's doing that because you have not saved the file, which is why when you drag from the desktop it will just open.

It just opens a white canvas. :/

It used to save it in a temp folder automatically so it would open right up. Not sure that it matters, but I'm on Vista and Firefox 2 now instead of XP and FF 1.5.

PC with Vista Home Premium. I have light Photoshop needs so this one works for now until I'm ready to buy a newer version.

It's actually not too bad, imo.

It just seems the drag and drop changed a bit (it may have to do with FF2.0, but I don't care to install 1.5 to test), so it works only if Photoshop is the focused window when I drop the picture. It works if I drag and drop onto the tool palette as well.
