I think Ron Paul might have a chance...

He might just be the fresh breath of air we need in the White House. Tonight at the GOP debate he was basically the only candidate who stood out with different views from the others.

Fox News then did a "text-message" poll, and surprisingly enough, Ron Paul received the most votes over Romney and Guiliani (Guiliani came in 3rd). What do you guys think about Ron Paul?

I watched snippets of the debate. It was laughable, how you people accept BS television like FOX NEWS is beyond me :-/ It's not news, it's neo-con propaganda.

Ron Paul is a good guy and the only candidate that speaks sense. Rudy Giuliani is a total prick who has made millions by explioting 9/11 for his own benefit.

What does the network have to do with the debate? It just happened to be on FOX... the candidates were still saying whatever they would say on any other network... a debate is a debate...

They're not lightening up at all. They consistently try to censor him for telling the truth and the GOP is actually trying to ban him from future debates now.

It doesn't look like he will be able to raise enough campaign money anyways, but at least Americans will get a little dose of truth from hearing him speak. He has been talking about how Nixon took us off of the gold standard back in 1971 and how our money is basically backed by nothing but the will of the people. The government just prints all the money it wants. Maybe eventually average Americans will start asking questions like, "If the government just keeps printing out all the money it wants, then why the hell do we pay income taxes?"

Sorry, but I think you are wrong. A good debate would bring up difficult questions and topics that would seperate the candidates out and make them take clear positions. Fox news asks softball questions, panders to conservative interests, and basically let the candidates wallow in being "so republican".

Well I see your points. I guess it all depends on who forms the questions and who is asking the questions... but I still believe the candidates would speak their opinions on the issues regardless of which news network is hosting the debate...

You can attack FOX news, and I think they do blow, but what about the first debate on MSNBC? So much for Hardball Chris Matthews.

Ron Paul certainly isn't running to win. He's running to be heard -- and he is being heard. Right wing conservatives were preached to for years during the Clinton Administration about small government, the bill of rights (focusing a lot more on that one gun control issue), restrained spending, and so on. Now during these debates not a single fucking candidate but Ron Paul seems to even give a flying fuck about these things.

Right now it appears it will either be Obama/Hillary against an as of yet unknown Republican. There was a rumor the other day that Bloomberg is considering running as an independent. If this happens, it willl be a roll of the dice who wins the election.

Because he isn't in favour of the war in Iraq or the War on 'Terror'. If there's anything a fine, upstanding, Christian, conservative, patriotic Republican loves its dead muzzies.

Whatever else he stands for is irrelevent.

You must love war and dead muzzies to get the support of the religious right.

Paul is a libertarian and doesn't stand a chance. He's for small government, which neither party is for anymore (Republicans used to be). He wants people to do what they want and not but in to their lives (which both parties can't deal with). If he gains any momentum, they'll attack him and bury him quickly.

Politicians like to control our lives, take our money, and spend like a drunken sailor. Paul doesn't stand for any of that, and the politicians running and in power will see to it that someone like him doesn't go anywhere.

Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who will keep the government out of your legal adult business, and if you are voting or giving money to any other candidate, other than Paul exclusively right now, you are shitting on your own business. Stop talking about how "he can't win" -- he CAN win.

One stroke of the pen and all that stupid 2257 shit is gone from the federal registry. It will be back to "check IDs for proper age and that's that" no prosecuting someone for porn pix of an 80 year old woman because the ID is smudged or misfiled and not "cross referenced" and whatever other bullshit the taxpayers money is wasted on.

Paul will also get rid of those alphabet fuckers, or seriously scale them down. One of the first ones to go will be the DEA and the IRS. FUCK YEAH. WE NEED THIS GUY. DON'T GIVE UP PEOPLE, HE CAN WIN. The key now is to re-register yourself as a Republican if you aren't already and then slam the party with email DEMANDING that they
run a fair race -- which of course will ensure Paul wins the nomination.

Ron Paul is the ONLY republican who can defeat an Obama/Hillary ticket in 2008.

We are living in the internet age. Goto youtube and look at the most viewed videos. A few of the top 20 or so are Ron Paul videos. He is getting more attention than most people would like to believe...

Yes, as a Canadian, I hope that Ron Paul's word spreads fast and far, because he's only dude who isn't directly connected to the corporate slimeballs who are ruining your country. He's not in their pockets, and he doesn't care to be.

Has he been on uhh Colbert?
