![]() I have a .dbf database file that all of a sudden will not store new entries. The desktop application Im using does not display any errors, and I can still use the existing information in the file.
I am convinced this is a windows file size problem, the file is somewhat big with with 160,000 entries. If someone can point in the right direction I will paypal or epass $30. thanks ![]() |

no idea, this file is created by the program and the program itself according to tech support has no limitation on the file size, so im thinking I need to adjust some windows setting to allow more memory or something. The program works with no errors it just does not store the new information.

ok, I was just thinking that maybe the integer value of the auto increment field was set too low.. that can cause that exact problem

If it somehow got marked readonly then that would give the same result. The only other I can think of right off my head is a disk space issue. Ifthe system is foxpro based then it uses diskspace for it's temp files and if you are near your max disk space you could have an issue there.
