HELP! I am in safe mode Hell!

I have been trying to boot into safe mode for a while now. The tapping the F8 key method would not work for me. By the time the F keys were enabled, it was too far into the booting process. So, I found another way to get into safe mode. I went to 'Run' and typed MSCONFIG and then in the BOOT.INI tab, I checked the "/SAFEBOOT" option, and now when I boot up, it goes right into safemode.

I was happy to be booting up into safe mode, but then I get to the login box and my keyboard will not let me type the password. I got in the first time I did it, but I just had a black screen that said 'safe mode' in the corners.

If anyone has any advice for me as to how I can fix this shit, I'd really appreciate it.

Well aren't you the clever llittle minx?

What was happening to lead up to all these troubles?
(Why did you want to boot into safe mode in the first place?)

I have some nasty spyware (zedo?) and I am trying to get into safe mode so I can run my antispyware/virus programs.

Another keyboard isn't going to do anything. I am already stuck in permanent safe mode.

You booted in safe mode with control panel option. That's when you see that "black screen" with safe mode on all sides.

And about your spyware problem, if the trojan/spyware is tied to winlogon.exe (and most likelly is), or something like that, you won't be able to get rid of it in safe mode either. I had a problem like that, neither safe mode, control panel in safe mode, unlocker, or any of those other tools could get rid of it. You will have to install "windows recovery console", and boot into that. Basically, it's similar to ms-dos prompt that win98 had, and there you can delete whatever you like, without any restrictions.

Just check BIOS if USB Support is enabled.
