mac question, os upgrade
Im trying to upgrade to tiger and im currently on a powerbook g4 and i got this message when trying to up grade the os
unable to find driver for this platform powerbook5.6 any ideas?

yeah, your using a copy of tiger that was bundled w/ a specific machine, and it isn't from the powerbook you are trying to install to... the copies of osx that are bundled w/ apple hardware only work on that hardware, unlike the retail copies of the os. you cant take a copy of osx that was shipped w/ an iMac and use it to reinstall the os on a powerbook, and vice-versa... you'll need to find a copy of osx that came w/ a powerbook, or the retail copy..
