Hell froze over and I bought a shitty Mac

I have my new MacBook Pro on set and plug my USB compact flash card into the reader for the first time on a Mac and my files are zapped!

So I used Rescue Pro Deluxe (on my pc) and recovered the files.

I have NEVER EVER EVER had my files get fucked up from plugging into a PC. Do Mac people just love the extra challenges that a Mac gives them? In one word I would say a Mac is "handicapped".

ok, this is just off the cuff here. How is the CF card formated? If it's formated via windows that could be the issue. Try a program like "Mac Drive" which you install on your pc's then format under OS x. It will allow you to share external drives and storage between the different OS's. My CF cards are always formated in the camera (Nikon d2x) and I have never had an issue reading them in either my PC's or my Macbook pro.

Sounds to me, like you bought something that you DONT know how to use.

MAC is made for idiots. It is drag and drop and very user friendly.

But you must be a moron to stick a pc formatted Drive into a mac.

Cards are formatted inside the camera.

ha ha i have had same experience.. had to use rescue also..
you can use cards in mac, just have to let it do its thing.. meaning let it download fully, then eject the card by clicking the eject icon.
i use usb/firewire external hard drives and use them interchangeable between pc and mac without problems.. (pics only, jpeg, nef and tiff files).

Should have stuck with a PC, Mac's are shit...you'll have to learn their way of operating when you could have stuck with what you know works, your PC. I'll never buy a Mac...any company that makes a mouse with just one button on it, can't be worth a shit. Yes, I know they make Mac mice/mouses that have more than 1 button but seriously...do you seriously want to have to Command + Click just to browse the internet??
