What is a good Portable GPS for Car??? TomTom?

Hey,

I am going to pickup a portable GPS this weekened, anyone here have 1 that they recommend to get or stay away from???

I do not need 1 that plays music. I see TomTom in my area for $299 and another 1 by Garmin for $399. I would like to spend $500 or less...

Thanks in advance......

I have the Garmin StreetPilot c340 - rented one in Ireland and came right home and ordered it. It's great

I had a Lowrance iWay 500C and I never could figure out the damn thing. Gave it to my Dad.
