It's not simply a trial that recurs, it's a pre-checked upsell. When I did a test signup my card was charged $1, then $7.95 which I found out later is for VIP access. As it was a test signup I was looking over everything before I submitted - obviously I didn't look hard enough!

Cindyc isn't any more real than thousands of other fake nicks used to spin things. I wouldn't be shocked to find someone in an office in Cali playing the part of Cindyc just to get your nerves up. They are amusing, but they certainly need better PR people.
