no more google traffic? what happened

So When I started this website it was getting a decent amount of traffic from google.. Now it's hardly anything... The content is all original and there's lots of it. So whats wrong? Did I get "sandboxed"?

The url in question: http://thepornreview.info

If ya know why it isn't getting much traffic anymore please help me out

Maybe I just need more link exchanges/inbound links?

A standard wp blog install isn't very SEO, the titles need to be adjusted to be longer and not include the domain name in every one of them, and unique description tags are needed. It's a good idea to no index categories for duplicate content too.

The listing issue is a major mixture of things really, but starting with that will help.

I did a quick check for you.

I agree 100% with FreeHugeMovies !

I checked your meta tags and the word "porn" comes up way too much.

the porn review
porn
review
porn review
porn reviews
porn site reviews
online porn reviews
adult porn reviews
best porn review
teen porn review
reality porn review
latina porn review
lesbian porn review
solo girl porn review
asian porn review

Only one of your key word is within the top 50 in Google and do not appear within the other search engines from what I can see...

solo girl porn review ( Google rank 24 & 41 )

You should hire a SEO person... Even if I do the SEO work your Google rank wont hold unless you understand the basics of SEO...

So you are not in the "sandbox"

Best of luck,

.

It's tough when you put a lot of work into a site and see this happen. But like mentioned, that's the SEO game now. Google changes very frequently and it's extremely common to be shuffled around significantly.

Just stick to the fundamentals, tweak where you can and as for your own suggestion on more links - focus on *good quality* inbounds from authority sites (a rarity in adult, but they are out there). Beg, plead, pay them off, etc. but that's your best best to improve your own authority level to big G.

Lack of updating content. Lack of link partners. Keyword stuffing in title portion of anchor tags. Google isn't happy about .info.

So basically would it be in his best interest to have a list such as this:

porn, review, adult, online, best, teen, reality, latina, lesbian, solo girl, asian

of course excluding "the". But basically the SE's would pick up on it if someone typed in: the best teen porn review

Am I correct in my thoughts?

I don't see any meta keywords at thepornreview.info. You have to choose about 10 most relevant keywords for your blog and make sure these keywords appear in your actual blog posts (e.g. review, photos etc...)

Hi,

You could have your tags separated by spaces instead of how you have them in your example...

"porn, review, adult, online, best, teen, reality, latina, lesbian, solo girl, asian"

You could have them like this... The search engines don't mind

"porn review adult online best teen reality latina lesbian solo girl asian"

So lets say you have the keyword(s) "best teen porn" ... repeated 4 times, ( keyword density ) then Google will scan your meta tags to see if they are reliant... if they are not then you will not find your website under such "keywords" because they are not true "keywords" ...

The Description tag and the body of your website is the two main areas where Google checks your words on your website(s)... So it is pointless as to place "keywords" that are not found within these two main areas...

There are tuns more I could say on the subject, however it just too technical...

Good luck,

.

Hmm. Some good tips in this thread, but in my opinion, the most important one is missing:

Aim smaller.

Right now, it looks to me as if you are targetting the "big" search terms. Obviously, with a fairly new site that has relatively few backlinks and no perfect, focused seo strategy, it will be impossible to get clickable rankings (rankings that a significant amount of people actually reach).

Focus on a few small, not too obvious phrases at first. You should be able to get good/top rankings for those, and get more traffic than you'd get by competing with the big guys.

good tips on optimizing on here, just an fyi - i dont optimize any of my blogs only sites that are non-wp based, also on some of the blogs tested out without trades at all except within the network...80-90% of my traffic is from google, more content is needed is what im suggesting - a link a day

Use the google webmaster tools, verify your site, and point it to a sitemap that is updated regularly / automatically. Yahoo also has a similar tool. Each has some degree of reporting that can at least help you with what it's not seeing (404s, etc) and give you some insight into what's linking to you.
