It's a honest mistake. What affiliate program monitor affiliates that send 2000 clicks a day? This could happen to every honest program out there. It happened to AFF and Adbrite(AVN partner) so it can happen to everyone

It's money for them. Just another avenue of advertising. There aren't many solutions to this aside from legislation or a movement amongst webmasters that would make the cost of advertising on these sites too much.

The first isn't likely to happen any time soon, and the second is a stretch since I have sincere doubts that adult webmasters will come together for any common cause other than urging female GFY'ers to show their tits.

Hell, if you really want to get mean about it, hire an out of work FX guy there in Cali to put together a tutorial/website about cheap and inexpensive ways to make fake vaginas so someone doesn't have to spend however-much money on a Fleshlight. Advertise that on torrent sites right next to Fleshlight ads.

Hire a dating author to write a free ebook about using Craigslist (a free service, mind you) to find dates. Then advertise it on torrent sites next to AFF/Fling and whoever else. That should get someone's attention.

Load the sites up with PPC ads, or some other way to generate revenue so you're not losing money, and maybe you'll send a clear message.

I'm just a noob though, so take all this with a grain of salt.

The truth is, are *any* of you going to pull your AFF or Fleshlight campaigns, if they're making you money?

That's the real reality of our business, even your personal friends don't care enough to remove their ads because of a friend getting fucked over.

As soon as someone shows me URL(s) of affiliates using content they shouldn't be, I'll get the account suspended and contact the affiliate via email with demands to prove license, or remove.

How else can it be done? Is there a better way to go? Are you considering that some fly-by-night "content store" could have been selling it with fake documents and duping any number of people before closing up?

This shit can be a pain right in the ass to deal with.

By the way my very first instance of someone stealing my shit was about 3 months after I started back in 2000. A link list owners wife stole my free site design. Awesome huh. It was all a misunderstanding as usual.

I pulled EVERY one of mine when I first found out. But I hear what you're saying, there's always going to be those greedy bottom feeders in this industry that would gladly pick up the slack and start promoting them if everyone else dropped them.

These people sign up for affiliate programs and then send traffic and get paid commission like the rest of us do.

I do agree though that sponsors should step up to the plate and cancel accounts and withhold payment from people who are proven content theives.

Of course the problem is that as long as scum like AFF turn a blind eye everyone else knows that if they cancel the theives accounts that traffic will just go to their competition.

boards are the only tool to help keep things even remotely on the straight and narrow. i've been called out. almost everyone has.

handling things off boards doesnt lend to ultimate resolution.

posting on boards is as old as adult online. way before many of these rookies got here that are on gfy today.

boards keep people aware of their surroundings.

i will continue to post on boards.

i am not bro. i got kicked out.

Appears Fleshlight screens their employees about as well as they do their affiliates.

as far as I am concered if one of your partners is advertising and making commissions on a site that is a problem to others, then it is also your fault for not catching it

I have paysites, I know EVERY site that people advertise my paysites on, I check it EVERY day, if someone was advertising one of my sites on a torrent site, I would feel just as responsible for not catching it

the issue with getting sponsors to all step up and say no to this type of site is that there is a very evident divide in the types of sponsors that exist now.....there is the "i don't care" group, and then there is the content producers

i don't care group is people like fleshlight, AFF, fling, etc....they don't have ANY reason to care about stolen content, and even if they know it IS stolen content, don't take shit down unless you ask them, even then it is hard

these particular cocksmokers are starting to sell memberships now. how do you justify this?

people who support these fucking sites should pay the legal bills of the people that fight them everyday to get their stuff off these networks.

If an affiliate account can be traced to a torrent site, it should be canceled. End of story!

I agree with you and if you think I'm a rookie to this board because of my "registered user" date, you are sorely mistaken. I, apparently unlike you, feel that the boards should be a last resort to addressing an issue with a company. If you don't give me a chance to fix a particular issue, how can you feel justified in going to boards with potentially unneeded drama?

You say that like its the first time you hear the term "content theft" in relation to your company. Get real please, not everyone on this board are 16 year old kids earning beer-money.

You have had plenty of time to take actions against your affiliates promoting your site using stolen content, and yet you have done nothing.

unfortunately for you, there are some of us that feel that going to the boards is the first step....if I find an issue, I want everyone to know and discuss that issue, then I will contact the company

btw, stop taking all the name calling as personal insults.....every single time someone has called a name it has been to the fleshlight company in general, not at you, so, unless you own the company, deal with it

Yeah but be realistic man, you're not getting 500K hits a day to your paysites or doing 1000 signups a day.
Operations like that there's no fucking way they can know where every hit is coming from, it's hard enough to track down referrers for fraudulent accounts, much less to know who has licenses to their content and who doesn't.

However, I don't think it's unreasonable for sponsors to update their TOS agreements to ban torrent sites and other types of sites that exist almost solely to infringe on copyrights, the same way warez sites were banned in 1998.

Then once it's brought to your attention that affiliate #1234 is using your banners on a torrent site, it's an easy termination.

I see the pain and theft. God this totally sucks, here's another one with a nice twist. I used to work for one of the companies under suspicion here. Out of political correctness, I will not say who or ID any sites. I get, or used to, killed from hotlinkers like fusker and many Asian surfer BBS. So trust me I know the cost of thievery well. Maybe not at a Producers level, but none the less it did cost me in BW.

I went thru this site and found things from many of my sponsor programs I sell. AmatuerNetCash, GhostCash, BangBros and more. I also found that if you click for the "Get Laid..." on this static image you end up directly on a program mentioned here in this thread. I have seen this on a number of these sites. Come on coincidence, be real people. Especially when that is the sole sponsor.

Okay now consider this. Not every Tom, Dick or Harry (or Sue - equal rights here) has the server reserves, not to mention the toss away cash to handle hosting this amount of content in hopes to make enough sponsor cash to survive and pay bills. Damn one legit site we like YT is owned by a huge cash cow. Be real some big program owns or funds these thieves. When you see but one same sponsor on many of these sites doesn't that make some suspicious?

Now it gets really interesting

These guys now want to offer the owning parties a cut of the pie? Isn't this kind of blackmail or hostage like. Honestly now if you don't agree they will still run your content and care less. Talk about a sick way to extort your content, they really show it with their "Membership" option. Surfers join to see your content. You get a friggen penny a minute. I cannot see why for any reason any sponsor would condone torrent sites. Torrent is nothing but theft. Shit talk about forcing a content provider into a deal

Maybe someone wants to question the 2257 legitmacy and copyright records via the Gov. Either way torrent sites are homes for thieves. I want nothing to do with them or sponsors supporting them using other programs material. The sheer size of ones hosting the material warrants a question of who is financing this illega practice? When a site as this has one sponsor, only one conclusion can be drawn. Now say well they are hosted out side the US and exempt. Fine, but if they are connected in any way to a sponsor in the US that is void.

BTW I am not new to advertising and the industry, but if you want to take a shot feel free. Ducked shit slings before.

trying to change the subject to make this a personal attack? any company that pays off theives in this industry deserves to be called out so others will not support them - it's time for a change - let it begin here with fleshlight.
