FSC is going in the wrong direction!

After making absolutely no progress in the fight against record keeping laws, FSC has decided to go after "adult piracy". What???

Why don't they try harder to fight dozens of unconstitutional laws all over the country before seeking out a new task? And by "trying harder" I mean actually winning a case.

Anybody's got a different view on this?

I woke up this morning and realised the adult industry has no Adult Piracy Prevention Organisation. APPO? Humm.

For the FSC to go after Piracy is kinda off the charter though if thats the case. The defense of the FSC has been awesome though. They pick thier battles wisely, especially for such an underfunded organisation.

Fact is FSC needs more funding, unfortunatly no one really gives a shit and just assumes the FSC will always be there.

i think they should focus on 2257 and protecting companies. imho they are spreading themselves too thin and do not have the resources to handle the piracy thing. many of us have taken the time to research the piracy thing. we talk all the time behind the scenes. i really don't think they know what a massive chunk of crap sandwich they are biting off if they get into the piracy thing. i strongly believe that the piracy thing is better left to an association of content producers through the creation of a board of trustees in a not for profit manner that will redistribute settlements and judgements throughout the supporting community. there will be a round table meeting to be announced within the next few weeks. after spending nearly all day talking to potential supporters we feel that its not just us (shane's world) that are ready to take that step into doing something about this. the entire valley now sees the danger. stay tuned for round table announcement. fsc can do what they like, but we're gonna explore our avenues as well. the wheels are in motion.

obviously they need money. they are trying to pander to those they think will support such an effort and/or believe there will be wide support if someone takes the first step. otherwise, they wouldn't be making such an opportuntistic move to stray from their mission and focus.

now your legal voice for constitutional issues is going to be more known for being "an asshole policeman, working for pornographers"

Wait, didn't Caryn Goldberg (formerly of Freshmen/Specialty Pub) just announce that she was the new Exec Director of a new nonprofit being set up to fight piracy? Why does the industry need two organizations doing the same thing? And what does fighting piracy have to do with free speech?
