noises heard in mine

Rescue workers said they heard a noise Wednesday night -- though it's unclear what it was -- deep inside the Utah mine where six men have been trapped for nine days.

"We saw some indication of noise for a period of about five minutes that we have not seen before," said Richard Stickler assistant secretary of labor at the U.S. Mine Safety and Health Administration

wow, wouldnt it be nuts if one of more of those guys survived? crazy if the noise wasnt a fluke

I hope they have managed to survive. If they are alive, I can't imagine what is going thru their minds.
I was talking to a retired coal miner today, he feels they are all dead from the concussion of the collapse.
He said a shockwave and a blast of air from the collapse would throw them like rag dolls and they probably
died from internal injuries.
I hope he is wrong.
