![]() I have a linksys wireless-G router I don't remember the model number of the top of my head but anyway,
I am trying to set my room as my webcam studio for when I do webcam shows but the damn thing is not connecting properly to the router that is in the living room. I am trying to avoid having a long ass cord come from the living room, pass the kitchen and too the bedroom since I am renting it does not make sense to do all the work to have the wires all around the place. So I am wondering If I need to get a new router or buy a 50 or 100 feet Ethernet cable. |

Turn off the gateway settings, and just use as subrouter, should find everything you need through http://192.168.1.1 or whatever IP the router was assigned from your main router on the DHCP table.

![]() If you don't have anything blocked port wise and you are letting the DHCP assigning the lan ips and your system is showing a lan ip but not the wan connection on your lan... then it might be a simple issue of renewing the network connection as to update your computer with the current ip address of your router... sometimes the router and a pc can get out of sync...
Go to view network connections if you are using windows and renew or fix your connection... Hope this helps you out... ![]() Later, .
