Test Your Lifetime Sales From A Sponsor By Making A Graph - Streamray Used As Example

This was reposted from NP
First off let me say that I'm not trying to spam my sponsor. I could care less if you sign up under my affiliate code. If you don't it's just more potential customers for me but if your interested you can see my sig. My real motivation for making this thread is 2 reasons. One is that I have been seeing really good sales lately and I want my sponsor to see this thread. The other reason is that I'm hoping someone else will post their revshare stats so I can find a few other web cam sponsors to promote.

I am a long time sponsor of Streamray and since I use their %20 lifetime revshare I want to make sure I'm seeing growth. If your promoting a cam sponsor then you want revshare and not something that says revshare and uses cookie tracking. You can still make good money on PPS sponsors but I thing signup tracking is the best for anyone in this for the long run. Here are some graphs I made and links to the sites so you can make your own. I challenge any ponders who are sending some serious traffic to any revshare sponsor to do just what I'm doing here. Hopefully it will let you see if your sponsor is growing your profits or maybe it will cause you to rethink your long term strategy. I also hope that this thread will be seen by a lot of sponsors and cause them to look closely at how they run their programs.

First off if you have a lot of traffic you probably have a few sponsors that you focus on and you probably use revshare, now it's logical that you should see an increase in profits over the long term if your sponsor is giving you credit for all your sales. Even if your not sending a lot of traffic as long as it's steady and doesn't lose its quality you should still see higher checks each moth. Most of you that are only sending a few hundred hits a day to a sponsor will not see results from this unless you have been sending the traffic for years. Those of you who are sending 500 or more every day will want to try making some graphs.

An example is a bukkake sponsor I use. I send them 200 to 300 hits a day. Most surfers only rebill for two or 3 months but some will rebill for a year or more. It stands to reason that over time your profit per click will go up. Your variables are your unique clicks and the money you make each month. Only count what you actually get in each check. You cannot see these increases each month in every case because of the summer slow down but you should see the increase in each year. I think a graph can be most effective when applying it to a revshare cam program because you will have surfers that spend over time. Some will spend every month and others will leave the service but will probably come back later whether it be the same year or much later. You can bet that if your profit per click doesn't go up it's probably because you are being shaved in some way, of course I'm considering that the quality of your traffic hasn't fallen.

Here is a basic graph made at http://nces.ed.gov/nceskids/createagraph/default.aspx

The red graph is the number of members each month and the black one is my sales. I made this one as a separate graph to show how member sign ups can be calculated against profits in the same way as clicks. In time the black graph should catch up with the red from rebills.

Here is a graph comparing cash to unique clicks. I had to remove the decimal point from my monthly check amounts so that the chart looked ok but the variables are still the same. You can see that the black graph (cash) is starting to reach the red graph (clicks). If traffic quality stays the same I should see the black graph overtake the red one by the end of this year. This month has been very high in sales so I think that will happen sometime this winter.

To go even further I decided to do a mathematical function to show profit per click each month. To do this you need to divide the cash you make each month by your unique clicks

5/2006 5511 $13.36 .002424
6/2006 3431 $44.76 .013045
7/2006 6241 $72.90 .011680
8/2006 12228 $94.24 .007706
9/2006 17249 $183.73 .010651
10/2006 13672 $235.96 .017258
11/2006 16914 $415.50 .024565
12/2006 18645 $345.47 .018528
1/2007 22615 $264.26 .011685
2/2007 18116 $214.27 .011827
3/2007 18049 $336.99 .018670
4/2007 19749 $447.09 .022638
5/2007 23098 $513.67 .022238
6/2007 71139 $427.39 .006007
7/2007 15545 $495.41 .031869
8/2007 11879 $510.73 .042994

As you can see there was a month in the last 6 months were I sent a lot of low quality tgp traffic which caused my percentage to go down but if you look at recent months my profit per click has gone up. I could also do another division using my member count which would probably look even better than the clicks method. If this month keeps going the way it is I should be getting over 5 cents for each unique click. I will update this thread each month so that we can see how this sponsor converts.

Here are my stats so you know that I'm not making these numbers up

I'm downloading a new program that will allow me to make some better graphs.

If any of you guys are pushing a lot of traffic I would try making some graphs here on the pond and try sending the link to your sponsor.

Here are the profit per click stats with last months sales added in. I have to say that I expected to have record sales after the first two weeks but towards the end of the month I had over $1,000 in chargebacks. I have never had a month with this much of a lose. I did discuss this with streamray support and I understand that this happens sometimes. This came out to a $220 lose for me this month. Even so you might think that I should have made more than last month but when you consider that I've had the lowest amount of free member signups last month out of the last 6 or 7 months you can see how I might have had a bad month. Still this is a long term test and we should see were this is going in the next 6 months.
