Well, sure the monetary windfall is strong motivator, but give them a little credit, at least they are paying homage to John by inviting his son Jason to play, who has made a reputation as a good drummer himself for many years now.

Officially happening..on their page with a link to the ticket lottery page (that still doesn't load for me). Is a one off charity gig from one I understand.

NOT the case!

I have seen Plant with a Strange Sensation year and a half ago and he was singing WAY better than I remember in 80's and 90's..

With such a name and such a history it's not possible NOT to make a lot of money. Page n Plant in 98 was one hell of a concert although Michael Lee is of course far from Bonham. I would go for it for sure!

Coming back to the times when you could actually hear music in radio:

I have seen Deep Purple, Jethro Tull, Black Sabbath with both - Ozzy and Dio, Ten Years After, John Mayall, BB King and most of the old school that was around here but a couple of names still missing:

mainly

Led Zeppelin

The Who (well without The Ox and Moon it's most probably hardly possible)

Thin Lizzy (at least the tribute band where John Sykes does most of the vocals)

At the new O2 centre in London which is just the Millennium Dome by a new name. Tickets are suppose to be by lottery but the page is still down for me. Don't know if anybody else has made it through?

It'll be interesting to see if Page can handle playing all the old Zep material these days. Or if he'll even remember how, lol.

And Plant looked like shit last time I saw him on Jay Leno show (an outdoor concert gig).

Hopefully they'll have cameras rolling and release the concert as a DVD.
