Wow, this thread seems to have touched a nerve.

There's nothing at all wrong with a model deciding to do hardcore, either from the getgo or just building up to it from a softcore beginning.

I was trying to find out how affiliates about it...you know...the guys who send traffic? Do they feel it's just a marketing ploy or is it deeper? Is the model finally just ready to do it and doing it with a "fuck you, I'm going to do this because I want to" attitude.

Don't get me wrong, when a girl known for only doing softcore (and not Melissa Midwest specifically) starts doing hardcore like we've seen with Jordan Capri and Peaches, I just wonder from a marketer's standpoint why it's being done.

Nothing wrong with hardcore, though many of those who sale it seem to have different standards and bashing on talent.

On the other hand I think the audience for a hardcore site is different from the audience joining a standard solo girl site.

I agree with most of your post, BUT not all guys enjoy hardcore porn. If they did, mags like Playboy and non-nude sites wouldn't turn a profit. When a guy joins a site looking for a softcore girl and he sees her getting railed, that member may be turned off and turn elsewhere.

I have a feeling in many cases it is models who have "topped out" on the market and are looking to take it further.

The reality is that the whole Jordan Capri honeymoon thing was a huge moneymaker for everyone involved. Steve Lightspeed once again proved he knows how to milk something for every drop (thinking about this, I am thinking that "milk" isn't a good word to use around here anymore).

Short term, I suspect it will get some of the girls more members. It will entirely depend on the programs actually supporting the move with a revised tour, a swath of galleries, sponsors content, banners, and other ad materials to back it up. This subject always reminds me of a Seinfeld episode where Jerry explains that the career of a Hollywood Actress starts with an audtion followed by years of rejection before she is finally spit out the bottom of the porn industry.

For me when a solo model ups what she does it typically gives a slight boost in my sales but kills the retention. I have seen it time and time again. She teases and the members stick around like flies to shit, then she goes semi nude (topless) and I get some more members yet see a drop in retention.
