Anyone ever travelled from Montreal to New York by train?

What is the fastest way to get from Montreal to New York by train?

I doubt you have a lot of options.

Honestly, I've heard nothing good about train trips. I was reading an article about a couple who got the superduper upgraded suite and it was little more than a closet and you had to sit on the toilet to take a shower.

I love trains but not with the value you get from Amtrak compared with Europe/Asia.

Considering that driving Montreal to New York is only 8 hours, the train is actually longer at 10 hours, but does go downtown to downtown (Penn Station).

Amtrak would have the info you need. It appears that it may only run on weekends.

I dunno if it is still in effect, but Amtrak was offering $60 return trip tickets ...

I doubt you could drive that cheap even on a bike!

We were gonna take a train from Florida to New York but then we saw it takes over a day LOL.

Didn't realise the distance was so big.
