If he didnt care he wouldnt have posted. It is obvious when he found out it bothered him to some degree or he wouldn't have posted about it. Anyone that starts a thread off with " my neighbor won the lotto" then goes on and on about bragging how good his life is and how he wouldnt want to be that guy who won all that money... = has issues.

What if he wrote: My neighbor won the lotto and it got me thinking. I don't need to win the lotto, I've been blessed and live a happy fun life that I wouldn't trade for 16 million.

I don't know how it works when you win any U.S. lotteries but here in Canada when you win the 6/49 or any others from Wester Canada Lotteries Corp., in order to collect the winnings you automatically agree to having your name publicized as they see fit.

This Grocery store owner's name and story about his win was broadcast on TV and radio news spots for days here, several times per day. It's one of the largest lotto wins in Manitoba history.

Earlier this year a woman from a town north of Winnipeg won $1 mill on a scratch ticket. The big news was that it was the second time she had won a million on such a ticket. Her name and the story of her phenominal second win were blasted all over the media and talked about for weeks.

There's nowhere to hide when you win, except to get your money and leave for a long LONG trip, and leave the damn cell phone behind.

When I go on vacation with my wife, family, friends, there are no schedules, having to talk about work, or the stress of sometimes trying to get a deal done.
either someone is on your schedule or you are on their's - that's how it works with biz, family and friends.

i prefer having people on mine - maybe that's why i enjoy the shows so much

How come you didn't congratulate the guy in the thread, or say he deserved it for all his hardwork at the grocery store?

Either he is an asshole who has been running the place in a fairly grumpy way or you are jealous of his win. My guess is its an honest working guy who got lucky, and you can't handle it. So you thought you would rationalise your life as a guy who goes to a few trade shows a year as comparable.

Adult interweb conferences are ok, the parties are ok. But there's alot more to life

PS the reason I wrote this is. Just this week my wife got an email from a friend who she used to work with about a person they both worked with that just won $17mill on a US powerball.

The tone of the guys email was so different to your post. He said everyone at work is going nuts, people are happy for the guy, he won on wednesday resigned on thursday, couldn't of happened to a nicer guy.

Its ok to praise a bit of luck Trying to say you have a better life for xyz reasons just makes me think you are pissed.

i congratulated blair myself but honestly - winning that kind of money - i see it as a curse.

i respect blair cause he has and runs a solid business. i'm happy for him and hope he can manage the money properly.

as stated earlier - i really don't play the lottery for that exact reason.

taking everything the wrong way makes me think you're looking for ways to attack me cause you're jealous

i'm happy for blair. he's a great guy. I prey it doesn't become a curse to him.

look to the positive - not the negative.

I'm not attacking you, certainly not because I am jealous of you. Its great you congratulated the man on his curse.

If the guy was a nice hard worker grocery guy before he won the lottery he'll be fine. The ones who go nuts and blow it on hookers are normally broke and crazy to start with. (See Micheal Vick).

for those that have been to gimli - it's the owner of G&C grocery.

got into a discussion with some people today- most said they would travel the world like no one else could do. I thought about this - i wouldn't. I've honestly done that. and still do it regurally.

traveling to probally over 50 porn conventions around the world in over 20 countries I've been able to see the world - first class - with my PEERS - people who UNDERSTAND ME and I love hanging out with - at a level $16 million alone without the connections I have from this business could not afford. and they arn't mooching off me either - everyone pays their own way and at a 1st class level!

now for those of us who travel to porn shows THINK ABOUT THAT. winning $16 million can't even replace the times we've had at the level we've had them at.

imagine buying out every nightclub and entire hotels for your friends - stuff like that and you'd burn your entire $16 million in a year - and we've done it for years!

I'm HONESTLY happier I'm in this business than winning $16 tax free cash.

Thank you God.

Youre a sad, jealous idiot and it drives you nuts he won that money. Its so fucking clear because youre so easy to read. Simpleton.

This thread is truly amazing. You make a thread about a lotto winner and right away you start bragging about yourself. Pathetic piece of shit.

That would be $1.6 Million per year, so $4383 daily and there's no way I need or want to spend more than that per day (I don't include taxes in this calculation).

Well, perhaps I'd buy some more typein domains, but not for more than a million. I'd park them and start constant travelling around the world indeed, without actively doing anything in online/adult at all anymore.

I'd have fun and gain new experiences for 2-3 years and then I'd settle down somewhere, although I'd still be having lots of time and money to travel.

But I guess I'd get married, and come back maybe to develop one of my domains into a mainstream web business. Nothing in adult anymore, no GFY for sure.

I'd also do some silent charity work and support some local sports club. Ok, $16Million isn't THAT much, but Im talking about some small stuff, just about having something to plan, think about, take care of. I really doubt I'd start a big business from that $16Million. I'm just not as much money driven in life, as most people here. IMO people are more important than money. I'd rather have 5 REAL friends than $50 Million and only fake people around me.

I guess I'd just live comfortable, wouldn't do any excessive spending like buying 5 different Ferraris and lambos etc.

Yes, I know, on GFY if you want to be cool, you just have to say that if you won $16 Million, you would work hard even more, trying to make $100M of it... but I have no problems admitting that I wouldn't. I was poor as a kid, right now I'm already doing quite good, and a $16Million level would be definitely enough.
Polish already said it all

If nothing else you should be happy to win that money so you can help others with it

CD, in talking to my tax accountant (understand I play the lottery MAYBE once every 3 years, lol) he said the best thing to do is create a corporation and have the corporation "win" the ticket. Yes, some investigating will dig up your name but from what I've seen the news isn't really interested unless you're willing to stand up in front of cameras with your 12X4 ft check and tell people you're going to quit your jobs, buy everyone a house, blah, blah, blah. ;)

I'd do what Polish would do and quietly make sure my family was completely taken care of forever, and spend a lot of time renting out planes to fly my friends and I all around the world

If won 16 mil I would be a vague memory. No more 2257 bullshit except the old records, no more worrying is visa going to drop out of adult or is some new law is going to happen or models flaking. I would travel a bit then open a few paneras.

I read an article once that said a lot of lottery winners do end up seeing it as a curse. Most become alienated from jealous friends and relatives that you can't seem to do enough for.

Anyway, i was just laughing how you claim 15 people hit you up to say they agree with you haha there, im laughing again

Dumb imbecile. You are seriously one of the most simple people on this board. I wonder how you dont shit your pants all the time because i honestly doubt you can remember where your toilet is. Spacedog might be slightly dumber but you for sure are 2nd place.

Im not saying this because i hate you or anything or to piss you off. I just 100% mean it when i say you are one of the dumbest, slowest persons i know off on gfy.

ok man, thanks for the comments about the man, man.

I have heard the man speak at a seminar man. Yes he owns a TGP man, i know he makes money man. So do I, I wouldn't be surprised if I make more money than him man. Lots of other people made it on their own too man. Self Promoter?? lol he is an attention whore with a lack of self esteem, who constantly needs to blow himself or try to get others to blow himself so he feels good about his life. I know the man has traveled to 345 countries and flies first class and owns property... wow. He's the..... man. One thing is forsure at least I am not insecure with myself man, ok dude ?

Now i am off to talk about how my neighbor bought a porsche but i am going to go on and on how i love my H2 and wouldn't trade it for anything in the world even if someone wanted to give me a porsche. And how i have driven my H2 around the world and i get 'hummers" in my hummer all the time, it is the nicest hummer in the world. I am so lucky to be me. who gives a fuck, honestly.

But there's alot more to life
I think Sleazy realizes any "fame" he has only exist in this industry, mainly on this messageboard. He has positioned himself pretty well to get blown by reps and program owners who would like to get his traffic and also because he massages their and other people's cocks through his ambush interview. Its a great double reach-a-round type of relationship. Then there are his "parties" that all the newbs here want to attend so they can be cool like him. Not too mention if you own a "big site" and make "money" the sufers here think you are cool as well. " WOW look their blows Scott, the go who owns Sleazy dream.com ".

I got to give him one thing. he took a pile of shit and made it popular at least in this industry. Think about it, do you really think anyone in the " real " business world gives a fuck how many porn conventions he went too around the world? I bet if he told his neighbors or the people he was buying or selling property with that they would say, ok whatever. If he lives in a decent area his neighbors likely make more than him and look at him as the lonely fat guy that lives next door.

He is a legend in his own mind and perhaps on gfy. Which is why I am sure he runs back to this board when ever he feels insecure or gets his feelings hurt in the real world so he can get his daily dose of "blow smoke up my ass" so he can continue to feel that he is a very smart and important person.

Congrats on your success.

This thread is truly amazing. You make a thread about a lotto winner and right away you start bragging about yourself. Pathetic piece of shit.
I second what Franck said and I am sure 99% of the people here can see where Jealous Dream is coming from.

My life is so perfect i wouldn't want to win millions.... who the fuck you kidding fat boy. If you won the lotto you would be throwing a huge parties and inviting everyone in town so they could blow you becuase you would be loaded. Then you would be popular in real life not just on GFY. It would be your dream come true.

I know I know i am jealous of you because i think you are an idiot. I think I am more jealous of your dog because he can lick his own balls than I am of you. But I am jealous as shit of Blair. If I had 16 million I would donate a big chunk of it, help bring happines to terminal ill children. Do lots of good with the money and help changes lives. I would invest a lot of it. I likely wouldnt blow any of it. But no I am not jealous of Blair, I am jealous of King Sleazy, the over weight single fuck who lives with his dog and travels the world going to porn conventions. yes I would certaintly pass on the money so I can walk in his shoes. keep telling yourself that you dumb fuck.

Franck watch how full of bullshit he is....

Ok Scott, so you say 15 people on ICQ have contacted you and told you that they agree with you, they wouldnt want to win money. All 15 of these people have a net worth over 10 million. I seriously doubt you even know 15 people that use ICQ that have a net worth over 10 million but please show us trolls where we are wrong.... names please. Please name some names. If you too chicken shit than ask your rich buds to post here that they agree with you.

We will be waiting

<crickets>

This has to be the biggest liar on GFY. He makes up anything to help enflat his ego.

If you knew ANYTHING about people who have money they would NEVER turn down having more money especially if it was given to them. You mean your buds like Lars who fuck you and do unethical, border line illegal shit to make money, if someone handed them 16 million they would say " no thanks we dont take free money, we prefer to pay zango and take money from others". There is not 1 person who makes any serious amount of money that would turn down free money. You stupid fuck, if the person is worth 10+ million they would obviously know how to manage money and it wouldn't be a "curse". Perhaps you wouldn't know how to handle it and you would be scared you would do like the poor people who win and it is easy come easy go.

"Only trolls want it given to them...." priceless, so everyone who plays the lotto is a troll.. and wow look at that you claim you don;t play. how lucky for you that you are not a troll.

LOOK AT ME!! I AM IMPORTANT. I go to webmaster shows and people like me! LOOK AT ME!!!

got into a discussion with some people today- most said they would travel the world like no one else could do.

Thank you God.
yeah you are a balla and you travel etc well done.........

IMO he's right. Smart, succesfull adults don't really play lotto from what i know. They know the chances aren't in ther favor with lotto.

I think that the people who play lotto are the ones who see it as their only chance to become rich. They are either poor or middle class, they buy a lotto ticket and think for a while what would they do if they suddenly won a few million. And they usually don't even know, because it seems so unrealistic to have that much of money to them.

Ok, smart, succesfull people probably buy lotto tickets as well, but they are an exception.

Also, I really think that the best thing with earning money is that you have something to be proud about, you remember all the ideas that worked or didn't work, or the hard work you put into it, to get when you are.
I'm faaar from being there but I see it already on my example.

If you suddenly win it, you just have a lot of money and your biggest accomplishment in life is getting lucky and chosing the right lotto numbers....

oh and i played lotto when I was a teenager

If that $16m was invested wisely, you could still continue spending the interest fairly extravagently without ever touching the principal amount.

But then again, I've heard many stories of big lottery winners who couldn't handle all the wealth, went on wild spending sprees to impress buddies...and ended up broke in the end.

WINNER: William "Bud" Post III of Pennsylvania
PRIZE: $16.2 million
WHAT HAPPENED: In 1988 Post had less than $3 to his name. He pawned a ring for $40 and gave it to his landlady to buy some state lottery tickets. When he won, he went on a legendary spending spree: he bought a car lot, a restaurant, a mansion, and an airplane (which he didn't know how to fly).

Within a few years, his wife had left him, his brother was arrested for hiring a hit man to kill him, and Post himself was arrested for firing a shotgun over the head of a bill collector. On top of that, his landlady sued him, saying that he'd promised her half of the winnings. She was awarded a third, but Post didn't have it - he'd spent it all.

He had to sell his house, and in 1992 auctioned off his 17 remaining lottery payments ($500,000 a year) for $2.65 million. He then proceeded to lose that sum in a series of business blunders and finally declared bankruptcy and lived the rest of his life on a $450-a-mont disability check. He died in 2006 at the age of 66, having said, "I was much happier when I was broke," and adding that he was sorry he ever won the "Lottery of Death."
