Senators call for congressional hearings on ISP content blocking
ISP's had previously stated during the Net Neutrality debate that they would never attempt to control access to contnet. Then Comcast placed heavy restrictions on Bit Torrent usage. Some members of Congress are alarmed.
http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5g...5r2YAD8SH4PD80 Bit Torrent was just the low hanging fruit. How long before the first ISP places obstacles between surfers and adult websites? ![]() ![]() |

Against idea, hate torrents. Fuck hate catch 22 issues.
Though spamming is illegal online activity and doesnt go against net nuetrality does it? Can we not lump torrents into same can. They are primarly used and trasmit illegal material. Then create some sort of way to white lable non illegal usage responsible torrents.

Black listing select trackers as they find them would be easier, but technology always wins and the pirates are constantly on top of that. This is just going to get more difficult as torrents blend into the internet. Joost, Vuze, Bablegum, Zattoo, etc... use torrents to serve out their video. Many companies are looking towards this as an answer to their video bandwidth issues. |
