Decide which currency you want to base pricing on - eg UK is top league, Euro in the middle and US at the lower end. So.... settle for Euros as an average.

Next! Geo signup pages offering surfers payment options in their own currency, but more or less, depending on the currency value.

Unfortuately CCBill does not have this option and stuck with US dollars on a downwards spiral - tho others do. It's nothing new - otherwise known as the Big Mac index and used by many prime net sites who operate globally.

Who said the adult biz is a leader in net pushing the net ahead??? Duh?

It sure is not when it comes to actually charging site members.

Why not even if the dollar was strong? Signup pages should be in familiar (and local) currencies anyways and from a webmaster angle, should take account of currency fluctuation.

Tho agree - there is no reason to show eg a US surfer prices in Euros - they should be shown a price which reflects their currency worth, but in dollars if they live in the US, in Euros for Germany, in GBP for the UK etc.

Damn, this industry is backward when it comes to transactions...

Why is it fine that everywhere outside of America gets billed in USD and the USA is fine with it but the sky will fall if Americans have to pay in eour's the rest of the world accepts getting billed with a currentsy thats not there's NP.
I think America will be forced to so any way sooner than it will like the USD is free falling and bush isnt going to stop it.

i dont think most americans want to pay for anything with euro's i know i dont and i dont do biz with anyone charging anything but dollars.

Seriously - agree. A US customer should have a pricing in dollar - same with other countries where they should be presented with signup pages in their own currency - and not necessarily all at the same price level. The price should represent the currency worth to the corp operating that website.

It's totally ridiculous from other angles sandman - example, a $30 monthly membership is only 15 GBP in the UK. That barely covers the cost of 3 packets of cigarettes a month in the UK. As a marketable price a website membership in the UK should prob be in the region of 24.95 GBP (around $50), otherwise there can be a tendency for surfers to think the site has little content.
