Are people with tourettes syndrome protected from all job discrimination?

Including lets say, being an elementary school teacher, pre school teacher. Nurse, doctor, etc.

Or is this the one syndrome not protected?

JIZZBOMBER DICKSNEEZE, TITTY SPRINKLES!

The AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT protects them......to a certain extent. The issue is "is there reasonable accomodation"?

the truth is that people with this illness are not what they portray in movies... yes, they do say things that they dont intend to, but not to the extents you see in Deuce Bigalow, for instance.

I knew a man who had tourette syndrome. I dont know if there is levels of the desease, but in his case, he could control it to a certain level. Like for example, if he would shout out "fuck" all the time, he would learn how to slightly change the word and only shout out something that sounded like 'hut'.

I do remember that he would have a hard time controlling it though if he would find himself in a stressful situation (i.e. teaching a class full of kids) which would make sense that people with Tourette will have the common sense to not do jobs that implies talking in public IMO.

Voila. Again, it takes a minimum of common sense to realize what you could or couldnt do as a job considering one's condition. Do you not turn down ugly girls when they come up to you to model? Certainly. Would you call that discrimination? Well hey its not their fault if they're ugly isnt it?

Shut up we are conformits damn it!
We do as we are told and stay in the far back room at the end of the hallway when our parents have company.

By the way it is not discriminating to not hire ugly girls as models, nor flat chested girls at hooters etc.

Case in point a hooters owner could turn down a flat chested girl in a wheelchair a job, not because of her wheelchair though but because she has no tits.

Im wondering where do we draw the line of discrimination anyway? I mean, discrimination is to keep someone from having the same 'treatment' as anybody else considered 'normal', more or less... But why is discrimination always pointed out about sex, age, race, religion, family status, national origin, military status or disability?

I once hired a very young looking guy for gay webcams on ifriends (19 years old) and ifriends refused him because he 'looked too young'. He was major! Is this descrimination on their part? Would this apply to 'age discrimination' whatsoever?Just wondering and thank you professor

No one is really protected by it. People still discriminate everyday. Its only if you can PROVE discrimination that you take it to court and you wont end up working for them regardless but atleast youll get a settlement so you wont have to work.

Modeling has its own rules like my hooters statement above. They can adhere to a company look or what not. Brain fart so I can not get the words out exactly, though I do know ADDA laws very damn well (dissabled after all). A company can achieve and go after a certain look. So what they did is perfectly ok and I went through it as well with same company with my old studio and female performers that were ok one day and then not ok the next.

From what I understand, there are many ways Tourette's manifests itself, and the uncontrollable profanity yelling is pretty rare. It's more common for Tourette's sufferers to have a lot of tics and things like that.
