I assumed it was a hoax, but if you look at the bottom of the wiki article, you will find a few links to legit news sites mentioning it. According to wiki, it's the "western use" that is the hoax. Very strange overall.

It is probably false in America where we have access to many types of drugs. However, this shit is used in africa where they don't have anything so they ferment their body waste and get high from it.
