Attn: Baddog

Your dedicated server prices are too high.

Cheers.

$149 is too high? Can only guess you are not our target demographic then.

Comparatively too high.

http://www.dedicatednow.com/

I am looking to move away from them.

What kind of deals do you offer, if any? Or, better yet, convince me that you are providing a better service.

I dont know anything about this company, but in most cases you pay for what you get

They're reselling for rackspace and their support is outstanding. Simply great. But, My server over there has exploded and been hacked, so I'm looking for a change. All I could think of was webair and 'gotwebhost'. I picked gotwebhost to investigate and wondered if I was missing something, when looking at the pricing.

I will not bother following the link as I am not competing against anyone else for business.

As far as how we might be better, it would be difficult to say since I have no idea why you have decided to leave them.

All I can tell you is that we offer superb support and uptime, and you won't find anyone complaining about us, whether dedicated or virtual.

Yes, Jay is doing a good job ...

But if you still consider changing, take a look at our prices:

Alright I'll keep shopping, and yes I've not heard any negative words about gotwebhost - which is a big positive.

Abandoning this thread now since no doubt it'll fill up with spam..

Thanks mr Baddog.

Yes, his prices are a bit high, but I've seen worse on here.
You are looking at our SEO servers on that page. The particular plan you quoted provide you 50 IP's spread out over 10 Class C IP ranges.

We have not updated the page I see, as bandwidth is actually 1000 gig, not 700.

The $509 is including the setup fee, which can be waived.

The $149 plans, for our standard dedicated servers can be found at http://www.gotwebhost.com/dedicated-servers.html

Yea, these are some of our older closeout boxes on the site we are trying to move . Baddog: And what they get is they get great uptime! and a server backed by a company in their 10th year in business who OWNS and OPERATES their own datacenter. And what else do they get? Well in 2 months when we are finished with our upgrades. EVERY SWITCH has HSRP meaning that your server is connected to a switch which has 2 gige uplinks to 2 diverse routers providing near realtime failover incase of a router failure. 95% of the hosting companies out there DO NOT OFFER THAT!!

Who? can you contact me via ICQ, I would like to learn more about your issues and see if I can be of assistance.

Also, no we aren't a reseller of rackspace, I am not sure how that every got relayed to you , and I am sorry for that confusion. But yes our support on our DedicatedNOW brand is semi-managed compared to our FortressITX brand which is truly 100% managed beyond what most people on this board consider fully managed (I believe).
