(CNN) -- A video showing the last moments of a Polish immigrant, who died after Canadian police shot him with a stun gun at Vancouver International Airport, has been made public.

Robert Dziekanski, 40, was traveling to join his mother, who lives in British Columbia, when he ended up spending about 10 hours in the airport's arrivals area, The Canadian Press said.

The video shows Dziekanski, who had never flown before, becoming agitated. It then shows Mounties purportedly shocking Robert Dziekanski with a Taser device after confronting him. Dziekanski did not speak English.

"Probably the most disturbing part is one of the officers uses his leg and his knee to pin his neck and his head to the ground," Pritchard told CBC News.

The dead man's mother, Zofia Cisowski, told CBC News that Tasers should not be used by police.

The incident is being investigated by police, Canada's national police complaints commission and by the coroner, CBC News reported.

I saw this last night and was sickened by their actions. The RCMP bypassed all the options they are required to try before use of a taser. The taser is only supposed to be used in place of their firearm.

This should cost them at least their careers.

Police earlier said the spray was not an option because of the people in the area - but Dziekanski and police were behind glass doors in an apparently empty section of the airport.

Ya, police shouldn't use taser's anymore, they should just go back to using lethal force instead, because there are a handful of deaths that occur because of Tasers.

There's a 1 in a million chance of dying from a Taser where there is a 999,999 in a million chance of dying from being shot. I'll take those odds.

People should know that those kinds of cops are not going to change. They will do what they do to you if you disobey them, so knowing that, people need to get it through their thick skulls that next time a cop or anyone in a legitimate position of law enforcement tells you to calm down...

maybe it's best if you just do what they say and calm yourself the fuck down.

Yeah actually if you bothered to watch the link I provided you would have seen the entire incident involving the RCMP. It took them under 30 seconds to decide to use their tasers.

I saw their use of force chart yesterday and these guys will end up getting in shit for this.

Add in the fact that they are trained in CPR and didn't administer it; that is a criminally chargeable offence.
