People who beg on GFY for money.

Sooner or later some of the people you least expect will beg on GFY for money for various reasons.

I am not pointing any fingers at anyone, i don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.... but everyone knows who these people are.

When people look for money for medical conditions I always wonder why they didn't have insurance for medical and for disability. For less than $500 a month they could have coverage for both. If you get hurt you are taken care of instead of relying on handouts on GFY. I know some people don't make a lot of money, but thats where you need to be a little more responsible in your lives, instead of buying that nice new car with the $700 a month note, or blowing money or whatever else you blow money on, why not put that towards your medical and disability insurance ? Especially you players who come across as making tons of money.

I personal feel bad for anyone that gets hurt but always wonder they weren't more responsible and thought about these things ahead of time. Or do they not care and if it ever happens to them they know GFY members will bail them out ?

i would hope most people have medical insurance, but i wonder how many of you have disability insurance ? It's really not expensive at all, couple hundred a month could give you 10K a month till you are 65 years old. Its crazy when you think about it, people will spend that much on car insurance to protect a car that is worth 20K but they don't spend a penny on protecting their income. What if you are perminetly disabled, lost your eye site or fingers, was paralyzed how are you going to support yourself for the rest of your life? Disability insurance is worth every penny and i would suggest everyone look into it.

You know I kinda agree with you but have to take up a couple points. Car insurance is required by law and medical insurance isnt. Not everyone has an extra 500 to throw away when you are doing fine medically. Its when something unexpected happens that unfortunate circumstances arise. I dont have medical insurance but Im planning on getting some soon. At my age there just isnt much point in medical insurance but I guess pr0s situation will show you that you can get sick at any age. I could'nt edit the above post in the 3 mins.

yeah especially after they finish paying their credit card bill each month for all those electronics and vacations they took. After they pay their car note on their 40K car and the rent on their nice apartment, i could see how some people would be tight.... i am sure a lot of people here dont make " a lot of money" but i can gurantee you that 90% of them could afford it if they cut out all the bullshit spending they did on other shit.

it probably would be cheaper depending upon their medical condition, age, ( what the health insurance cost them) and how much coverage they would want from disability. $500 is what i pay amonth for both which cover both myself and wife for medical and i have 10K a month of income covered, all for $500 a month. So for a single guy, with less income covered it might only be 300 -400 a month.

me too, i could never bring myself to asking but i can appreciate that people get in bad situations. But when they could have protected themselves i feel less likely to want to bail them out.

Disability insurance is great if i ever lose everything and stop making money.... opps i acidently slammed my hand in the door 5 times. time to collect on that policy

Some people, especially young people see 500/mo as alot when you are working your way up. Especially if your under lets say 30 years old. If I was over 30 I would absolutely make health care fit into my budget but right now theres other things I could spend that $500 on thats more important. I will be getting medical insurance within 6 months for sure but until then I guess Ill just take the chance.

this thread wasn't pointed at anyone in particular. It happens from time to time around here and i am sure will happen a lot in the future.

PornMongul, for disability I could see if you were in college but medical insurance either through an employer or on your own is must, you can get hurt any time for a millions reasons and you don't want to be in debt the rest of your life with medical bills. The disability insurance is tied in with your income to some extent from what i understand, so if you only make say 20K you can't get coverage for more then that. I don;t know it might cost as little as $75 a month to get coverage for that. The main point of disability insurance is to get enough to cover your montly expenses. For people who make less, their bills are typically going to be less. I would look into it. Its one of these things that is guranteed to happen to some people here, for a couple extra bucks a month it is a great insurance policy to have.

US stereotype ? you fucking kiding me. I never said the poor have money, that is kind of an oxymoron. I said that the vast majority of people would rather spend a little more on a car or apartment, or take that extra vacation or buy the 52 inch flat screen instead of the 32 inch. That people spend irresponsibly more on shit and less on things that are really important.

I've lived in the US my entire life, please don't try to tell me that 99% of the US population doesnt lives beyond their means, and the majority of them don't have disability insurance.

It's a demonstration of the level of retardness which has entered the online adult biz. They are either scammers or totally incompetent in earning a living or managing their own finances - and don't really give a shit how much their insurance etc costs.

If these people can't afford to be "webmasters" and run a biz in this industry - they need to get the hell out now and quit boring everyone else with their problems. The adult industry is a biz - not a congregation of beggers.

That said, there are folks who genuinely need help, but 99.9% that sure does not include anyone who manages to access a net chat board - and got no problem helping these people.

That's a common mistake a lot of young people in the US seem to make, and it's a critical one. I got appendicitis when I was in my early 20's, but of course me being a Canadian living in Canada the operation was free, as in there was no charge to me for it. But to those it happens to in the US who think like you that operation can run them into tens of thousands of dollars in debt, much more if there are complications that extend your hospital stay.

You guys do realize that pr0's "situation" is now 4 years old, it's over and done with, right?

There are several newer examples on GFY of people asking for donations due to lack of medical coverage. The ones that bother me the most are those that later turn out to be a hoax where someone is just trying to rake in cash by falsely tugging at the generosity of everyone here, and there have been several of those.

It's the very reason that so many here are jaded about helping anyone who asks for that kind of help. One now has to prove they are ill or have been injured before most will fire up the paypal or epass.

medical insurance is good for short term things like broken leg or emergency operation, if you diagnosed with somethings chronic than after a year the'll refuse to renew your policy and no other company will take you cause its now a preexisting condition

Good point. Cut down on monthly costs for luxury things and buy insurrance instead.
So I will not ask for help for health reasons.
Could someone please send me monies to buy a porsche, the cayenne is preferred, if going for a cheaper one such as 911, please send extra to buy a BMW X5 also, I need space for big family.
I need this so I can afford health insurance

I would have thought in a country like america you really dont need to beg at all. and on gfy? well thats just not on.

First of all if you beg on gfy, A) you have a computer, B) you have an internet connection. Sell your computer and cancel your connection (unless your posting in a libraby or something)

also in america there must be plenty of work and that all you have to do is get off your seat and go do something, theres macdonalds, factories all who are always wanting people.

In england people complain they cant get a job, yet they are not prepared to work on the fields and pick vegetables. It may be tough but its better than begging for sure.

Now say your out of money in a country like india? now thats serious, thats a real nightmare im guessing. If your out of money in russia, you freeze.
You will get no help what soever. If you cant eat, you die, where as in a country like usa and britain they are organisations that want to help you and get you back on track.

with that type of reasoning for me, i will never donate any money to anyone asking for money on the internet simply because they dont have a job.

Thats no exuse not having a job in a 1st world country.

Your just lazy 0.02

Sorry to be blunt about this, but come on.

There is an easy way out of not paying for medical insurance and have free disability allowance All you have to do is hop an a plane over to the UK and you will get it all for free even if you dont work....

On a seriuos note though me and my family went through a bad patch last year when we lost our house, car and some of our possesions and it realy is not funny at all, I think at some stage most people have bad luck and it all goes wrong, any how we were lucky we had family to help us out until we got our selfs back on our feet. I do feel real sorry for the people who are genuine on here and are asking for help because I know whats its like to go through that shit for what ever reason and it takes a whole lot of guts for some one with pride to post a "help" thread. I felt like a complete looser for asking my family for help beleive me its so degrading. I think we do have it a lot easier over here in the UK as far as medical and disabilitys and I feel sorry for the guys who cannot afford treatment or disability insurance over in the USA

When I first started posting on GFY I gave to a few people. Not a lot of money but I still sent them $20-$50. Now a couple of those people still post here and act like little pricks. I'm glad they got their problems taken care of but when someone who I gave a little money to talks shit to me it makes me regret giving them money to begin with.

No good deed goes unpunished. I am done giving money to individuals.

understandable
i have not given money to people asking for it.

however i have given money to people asking for other people

charity work...someone is truly sick and others ask for them...others i respect etc...that sort of thing

it is sort of selfish on my part...as then i get to feel good about myself for helping someone who really needed it out

i never give money to people asking, however if they want me to signup to their buddy's casino affiliate program I will do that all day long to make some cash off the deal.

p.s. im joking. what does it matter if i have given to people or not, the discussion is about the importance of people being responsible and having insurance ( disability and health) not bashing on the poor.

Honestly in life we all have problems and experience things we never expected to. I used to rag on people but I really don't see myself doing that anymore. Sometimes... SOMETIMES it is justified.

You just have to know who to trust.

What if Wiredguy lost a leg in the US and for whatever FREAK reason no one would cover him and he had to pay 2 mil out of pocket for a prosthetic + surgery in the mean time? Would we all tell him off and say he should have thought it through? No chance in hell. What I am saying is sometimes people need help.
