OSCOMMERCE experts...question on server load
I have a site that I am throwing oscommerce on for ticket sales
here is the thing....the tickets go on sale 3 times a year and usually sell out in 6-8 minutes...we sell 400 at a time the site will get approx 2000-3000 visitors in those 6-8 minutes how stressfull will this be on my server for oscommerce? any other options would be welcome to, i just know oscommerce pretty well but never worked on a site like this |

you need powerfull servers ( an array .. ) and lots of memory. I presume they will enter data to purchase , so a powerfull stand-alone MySql server would be required.
