I would guess a lot of traffic is pushed by gfy members ,in fact many many millions but with the scale of the internet it would still only = a few percent

Hits? Who counts hits, in this day and age? I get couple of hundred thousand hits per day, it's meaningless. It's visitors that matter. Not hits.
