If I got comped I think i'd be a bit more motivated to building more sites for that particular sponsor...

it is a motivating factor, as are webmaster ranks like pimp roll and tcg have.

Id rather just get higher payouts. If they are giving away prizes then obviously they could be paying more per pps

Most the ones I've seen require a huge volume of sales to get anything good, generally a lot more sales than I send individual sponsors. Funnily enough my biggest sponsors don't have rewards programs (but they do bump my sale payout which is better).

i doubt i will be pushing 20+ sales a day to any sponsor in the near future so any of the free stuff means squat to me. its cool to get a nice "thank you" and i do remember that kind of stuff.

ive met sponsors before in vegas and LA that i will gladly dump another one for because they hooked me up with drinks, vip to parties or anything along that line. i feel that if they are going to take the time to hook me up, i will do the same in return, even if iti means loosing a few dollars here or there

I like the "free" stuff... I think it is great that once in a while I can go into my TCG account and order something I wouldn't normally buy or get something for the office that I wouldn't have thought of unless I saw it on their website.

The best shredder I ever received/bought was from my Wells Fargo check card rewards... The nice thing about that is that I am already using the card anyway.

If I buy domains, I use the card, if I pay for hosting, I use the card. I also do this with my personal account.

I have asked others with Wells Fargo accounts if they do this and none of them even know they have this program.
