A ban on booze out of sight? Hardly. There are still states that have dry counties. I can easily see how they could take the next step.

I am all four state and local governments having a say in how they run and giving the citizens of those states and cities a voice in how they live, but I think anytime you start having one state voting to take away freedoms it is a bad situation and could eventually really divide the country.

Yo dude the states can pretty much ban abortion or allow or ban gay marriage now. Whats gonna change on that? Not much. Everyone isnt for gay marriage, everyone isnt against abortion, yet we expect the whole country to obey one rule when its split almost 50/50?

The difference is now you can fight this on a federal level and have it struck down. If we have a president that wants to promote this he could do away with that federal outlet.

I understand that. I'm saying that giving states too much individual power could only make it worse.

You think he is going to get rid of the Supreme Court? He is not going to change the court systems or their decisions. He is going to shift responsibilities to different areas.

no I don't but what good is promising states expanded power if it will just be overseen/overruled by the supreme court? Let's take the abortion issue for example. If your state bans abortion then someone challenges it and it ends up before the supreme court and the supreme court says that roe v wade overrules the state law what is the point of passing the state law in the first place?

If you are going to expand the power of individual states you need to do something to make sure they can then use that power. I don't know what is plan it, but he must have something in mind.

The "game plan" was already written. It is called The Constitution

Government is really simple if you just follow the instructions.

The constitution isn't a game plan, it's an idea on how to run the Gov. A game plan would be telling us how he is going to achieve some of more complex goals.
