Do foreign webmaster really need a US Corp?

The CCBill faq said you need a US company tax ID (EIN number I assume). It didnt specifically state you need a US company.

These can be obtained by non us registered businesses. Its a simple form (SS-4) from the IRS.

I asked this question in another thread as to what is really required. But if you only need the ID, then that is going to save a heap of hassles.

Opening a bank account for a non us company is easy and if you need an address, you can use a serviced office or a mail drop if only a PO box is needed.

Can one of the billers please clarify what is actually required????

Which could either be a US mail box - about $300 a year, or you can get a serviced office for $50-$75 a month that will give you an address someone can rock up to and be told your not there

My point was just that a tax number isn't all that is required.

As for the "presence" rule... I think Visa needs to clarify, and we need to hear it from our biller-- quickly. (Not me, my sites are US-owned.)
