Because tube sites have tons of random porn...its that simple.

They attract the same people who type in sex in google. Looking for general porn. Those people dont buy something quickly anyway...they just look for free porn in general.

If you have or promote a niche site then you won't notice anything negative.

I could explain it in 10 sentences but think about it, it's really that simple.

What you say makes sense Dirty, but Im not sure that niche sites wont be affected at all. Some tube sites have a lot of niched content. Its not all titled "Blonde gives blowjob".

I think people looking for sex are satisfied more easily. They find a free porn vid, save it to their puter and jerk it a couple of times. Someone looking for big tit lesbians will have a hard time finding good free content in that niche. In his search he will bump into a site dedicated exactly to that. Good chance he will sign up.

Ofcourse they are going to start with the general porn stuff. Wait till that gets saturaited and people learn they can make more money from making a bbwtube or asiantube and being the only niche tube site vs being number 12,302 general tube site and trying to get a sliver of the pie. Sometimes being #1 of a smaller niche is better than being #1000 of the general stuff.

Give it time, there will be popular niche tube sites with illegal content on it over the next couple years.

I was thinking about that too. As they have more and more content on, especially with the longer vids on, the surfers will be able to find anything they want, for free.

2-3 mins long clips are okay on tube sites, many have said and won't hurt anyone.

those domains were taken several months / years ago., i know i checked

I don't think tube websites threaten content producers. There are simply too many producers in a shrinking market and a natural selection must occur. Chinese, Indians, Arabs are not replacing the European/American customers of yesterday.

I have been saying for well over a year that was the master plan by AFF and why they funded these sites. They don't own a membership site, just dating and cams. So not only they did make money off of other people's stolen content, they helped devalue their competition. The affiliates of these other sites make less money and are more likely to come give AFF a try. It was a win win for them. Maybe it wasn't their master plan, I might give them too much credit.

How about all webmasters wanting to try the "sponsor-fed" tubes do so, and sponsors start providing more of the content needed (30-60 second clips)... and in addition provide more ready made embeddable Flash clips..?

Sort of like.. the whole industry going at "the new thing" with full force.
If that would happen, I foresee pretty heavy competition for the illegal tubes.

Think about *that*, keeping this in mind:

Which sites will get most traffic from search engines? The *focused* sites run by REAL ADULT *WEBMASTERS*, far outnumbering their antagonists... or the generic themed tubes/forums/whatever?
Emphasis on the positive impact here of *quantities* of legal tubes/tube-like/MGP's, linktrading and possibly even traffictrading with MGP's ...
There would be very little reason/incentive for surfers, with any taste preference, to prefer less organized sites with stolen 20-minute clips, than organized ones..
The traffic they'll manage to scrape up, will be more or less useless - bookmarkers or not. PURE PIMPLED-ASS FREELOADERS!

I think we can turn this around, especially if we "fight fire with fire" here...

If you have a general tube site, your going to make some money.
But the real money is with niche based tube sites. Like tranny, gay or boobs. Alot of TEVS owners I know of have picked a niche and built around that.

I have tried a straight "hardcore" tube site and the signups are all way below what I was expecting. But the same design on a niche site proved to be the winner.

The most important part about any adult site is to tease the surfer. If you can jurk off to your own content, you will never make any good money because the surfer will to and you have lost the sale.
If your using sponsors content and its 60 seconds, make sure you have 2 parts of the video. Cut them into 2, so you have 2 lots of 30 second videos. Different positons are the best. The reason is because a repeative motion is enough to jurk off to, if the video moves to another position it puts the surfer off. I know I hate that. But it makes me want to watch the full video.

I have found that 60 second clips work the best.
