If the content stopped flowing out of the members areas for a 3.99 trial the flow of new content would stop to the tubes and torrents.

I dont like bandwagon fucking wolfpacks that come in screaming when they dont know shit. I dont like no name people that attack companies that are 1000% more successful than 85% of the people in adult.

Stop the post theft whining. Everyone wants to unite on something? Band together and create a way to deliver content in a way it can be controlled. Why the fuck should a member get a whole site rip for less than a big mac combo meal at mcdonalds? Think outside the box. No you CANT stop content from being ripped, but you certainly can stop it from being something a halfwit with an internet connection can do.

The whole problem is the pandoras box that is members expectations started prior to having technology that allowed us to restrict it to more of a "rental" service, than a product purchase. Well if people want to see conversions increase and theft reduced an industry wide change will HAVE to be made.
blah blah blah.

You know the largest sellers of music on the internet now for example are DMR free? Consumers don't want your DRM shit. Don't blame it on the content providers for not falling into your "DRM".

Your post shows nothing. Post proof. Post examples, and studies with real business profits and growth.

Meanwhile, you're always posting stupid shit in threads where REAL content providers have their content STOLEN and you're blaming THEM for not using DRM. You don't even know what the fuck you're talking about, since you keep calling it DMR, which was a processing nightmare long ago while you were still in diapers.

Drm is the generic term used for it. Real content providers? There are a few that are outspoken on the issue, the rest remain quite. Have no time for a pissing match that will result in the same old "scared to change" shit.

If you own a store and all your merchandise shows up at the flea market down the street you get some better locks, and probably product tags that beep when people go out without paying.

With the adult industry you giftwrap and bag up all your product and hand it to the thiefs. Ya you are right Im a stupid noob.

The best way to stop content theft is like you said go after 3rd party advertisers. *yawn* Any smart business person coming in from a mainstream perspective would be amazed at the business model that everyone is afraid to change as to piss of the "consumer".

Im going down the the local video rental store and paying 3.99 for as many movies as the store has and Im going to truck load them on back to my house and keep them forever.

Sounds like a brilliant plan...

I hear Netflix and Vongo etc are doing fine... Wonder why the silly members of those sites dont get pissed off they cant keep the movies forever and distribute them freely out onto the internet? Hmm Because their expectations were never guided in that direction.
Bah fuck it I have better things to do...

Btw I havent been in diapers since about 1976 or so.

Why would you come on to a forum that you are banned from to hand in your resignation from your job?

I come from a brick and mortar retail background where strict inventory control/theft prevention is ALWAYS a priority. This industry does seem more focused on hoping the thieves share their ill gotten gains than stopping theft in the first place.

Pretty fucked up.

Yup its what irritates me the most. Its like pretty obvious to anyone with common sense. The best way to stop theft is by stopping the content from being stolen in the first place. All the effort being placed on going after advertisers and people making money off stolen content is all well and good, but it aint going to do shit to stop what started the problem in the first place, and that is the business model that adult got pushed into originally. The main cause of the problem is that there was no technology to limit time limits more in the way of a rental.

If the technology we have today was in place back then it NEVER would of happened. Never. And now there are too many stick in the muds whining about how customers hate restrictions. Well DUH of course they do. If resturants never offered free refills would you whine now if you had to pay for one? NOPE!.

Now you have all these people crying about videos all over the place. When you mention that content should be locked down all you get is "Customers will leave they hate drm blah blah"

Has to be Industry wide change to stop this. It will ONLY get WORSE period. Internet connections and server speeds are only going to increase. Fiber connections will enable people to trade full dvds over instant messengers directly. Only way to do it is to unite the industry and lock down the new exclusive content from here on out. You cant get back what is out. Like herding cats, like catching fleas with chopsticks etc. But Im sure some swell person will come in and tell us all why what I say is wrong. And how Im a noob and unable to put forth an opinion.

That is one thing I hate about Indiana. Difficult to find free refills.
