Need Host w/ Superior DDOS Protection and Security

As you may well know, we have been hit with a DDOS attack that has burst up to 1mbps at times. Rackspace first null-routed us and now they have completely shut us down. Don't get me started on their shitty handling of this situation.

What we are seeking is a new host with Superior DDOS protection and overall security who could potentially move fast on this as we've been down nearly 48 hours so far. If you don't have killer DDOS knowledge, don't waste our time.

We want high-end servers and you must have top-notch support. Not looking for a no-name company.

Please contact me at camwithher @ gmail . com

Hello CamWithHer,

we should be working together more but as far as hosting goes I would say hit up Jason or Russ at www.caro.net

solid company with great service and price.

1mbps? did you mean 1gbps?

we've weathered some 600mbps attacks with them no problem, but then again we were paying $40k+/month so their tolerance level may have been higher...

Hey SNR - To recap what we discussed last night.

We?ve been dealing with DDoS and other attacks since we?ve been in business (over 10 years now in the adult market) and 1Gbps won?t touch our infrastructure. The most important thing is that we can work with you to decide what to do for each attack. In some cases, some appliances we have in-house can help, in others they wouldn?t do any good. Finding a host that will work *with* you instead of providing a knee-jerk reaction is crucial. Each attack has to be taken on a case-by-case basis. Beware of anyone who claims to have an all-encompassing solution no matter what the nature of the attack is.

We?ll be getting you a quote on some hardware shortly and how quickly we can get a server online for you as well.

Thanks man!

We've had problems with major DDOS before, and I mean MAJOR ones.

We had to change hosting probably 25 times for theses sites, every damn host promesing us that it would be fine. The only ones that managed to totally filter the DDOS without slowing down anything are The Planet.

That would make more sense .....

DDOS are a pain .. You can see the ports scans for 2-3 days ( 50 - 100 gigs of packets a day), then if they find a "hole" ( mostly folders set at 777 ), then just go in with c57 or r99 and your whole box becomes a zombie ...

LOL. noclue.

ThePlanet is the biggest host out there, however, their support changed alot over the years, they used to be alot more user friendly. If you're not dishing out major coin, you'll get the standard "tech" who's answer to most problems on the box will be "oh, it's a ddos", even when it has nothing to do with it, and will null an ip in firewall. If it continues, he'll tell you you need cisco. I'd sooner go with someone from adult that has GOOD support (and allows root). Working with the client is essential in ddos.
