Whats cooking with the new PYTHON.COM?

well, someone a clue about these things?

python is changing site urls and names and
requires one to sign up for a new account ...
so far ok ... BUT ... --->

1. what about already submitted and listed galleries?
2. will hits from old pages still be counted and credited?
3. or does one need to remove all archived fhgs from her/his sites?
4. add your concerns/questions please ;)

i have hundreds of picture galleries on an archive page
and i surely dont wanna go wading thru a huge page to
weed out single links; not to mention the time it'd take
to make it look smooth again after that task

someone a clue what to do with older promo now?

all the best

OL' - BraveD.

my questions exactly. i would suck big time off if i have to go through a site and replace all the fhgs i have on blogs, some of which were set up to exclusively promote python.

Of course they should. If not, remember it and NEVER promote them again.

We understand that as we transition over to the new system there will be situations where webmasters are not able to, or it is not sensible to, switch to new links.

But please understand this: every webmaster will receive credit, either directly or indirectly, for every single peice of traffic sent to Python.com. This means that we will be either tracking and crediting sales directly from old gallery links or compensating any webmaster for traffic and/or sales nor credited due to the transition.

We are making this switch in an effort to keep pace with industry technology. Our affiliate system is in great need of upgrading. The long term implications of this switch is positive for both our webmasters and our company as a whole.

We will NOT hang any webmaster out to dry. This is the official company stance and we will deal with each and every webmaster issue as it arises.

Great response Steve, not one second would I have thought that Python, a Pioneer in this industry wouldn't take care of ALL their affiliates.

Hope the move goes smooth brother ;-)

As it stands, moving forward without the 'HD' brand is our direction. There is a logic to this, mostly tied to future site launches and exclusive content production. We felt the "highdef" brand was limiting the growth of the program and was not really a recognizeable "brand".

HD content is the future and will be the standard in not too many years. We (and our affiliates) have capitalized on the buzz surrounding "HD" since the program launch in March of 2006. If an effort to remain on the cutting edge, the re-branding of current sites was necessary to execute our 12-24 month vision for the program.

Expect the worst and hope for the best. We know there will be issues and unhappy people. People, in general, do not like change and do not like to have their routine disrupted.

We can only hope that the long term improvement of the program is great enough to outweigh the short term growing pains. Thanks for the good wishes!

Hi Steve, look forward to the improvements with Python. BTW, do you know what ever happened to www.cashquest2.com, the main page has been down for over 3 months!
