Question about Pagerank....
Ok this may sound dumb... but quick question....
If whatever.com has pagerank of 4 and links to me.com that is good. But what if whatever.com/sports/index.html has no pagerank and links to me. Is this still good? Do I still get advatage of that pr4 linking to me? Or does that link have to be on the main root of the domain? |

The way it always used to work is each directory level you go, the PR decreases by 1, provided the directory / second tier has existed for quite a while - so once whatever.com/sports/index.html has actually been updated in the google serps, it should be a PR3. If it has a PR0, it implies to me that it must be a fairly new page.
The best link is always root level. |
